Void signals indicate the locations of the microscopic singularities that you have been tracking, and Ikora has discovered more about them.
You encounter a strange anomaly after interacting with a briefcase, which unleashed an Axion Bolt, and this needs to be dealt with.
With Ikora’s guidance, you will need to track down the rest of the Axion Bolts that appear around Kepler, and this later leads to a discovery that sparks Lodi’s interest.
How To Get Declassification Quest?
You will be able to start the Declassification quest once you have completed The Gorge Strangelet quest, which is a part of The Edge of Fate campaign.
This quest becomes available once you have completed all of Ikora’s other side quests in Kepler, being the last quest that is available. (This was recently fixed due to not showing for some players.)
Declassification Quest Steps (Objectives)
Step 1: Find and destroy the void signals
Microscopic singularities have started appearing on Kepler, and while these are not yet a threat, you will need to destroy them before they become one.
Head for the location of the first microscopic singularity and interact with the briefcase found around the marked location. (Void projectiles will be released, but you can destroy them)
Step 2: Destroy the Axion Bolts to prevent further singularity development
Head to the next area that is marked by a waypoint, and there will be another briefcase that you may interact with, which will also release the Axion Bolts.
Step 3: Destroy the next Axion Bolt
Another singularity created by Axion Bolts has been revealed, and you will once again need to make your way to the location and repeat the same steps.
Step 4: Track down the last set of readings
You will need to head to the marked location, and this time, you will need to interact with the markings on the remains of a ship. (The label reads “Ares-1” on it)
Step 5: Defend the Ares One against the encroaching Vex
After you have interacted with the Ares-1, Vex combatants will spawn in the area, and you will need to defeat them before the quest can be completed. (Quest ends after a bit of dialogue)
Declassification Quest Rewards
Once you have defeated the Vex that ambush you, the quest will be complete and you will receive the following rewards:
- Legendary Gear
- Fated Cipher
Verdict
It seems that the Axion Bolts that have been appearing have originated from a time long ago, which means there is a time anomaly happening.
Thanks to your efforts, the microscopic singularities have been contained, and what you found is a significant piece of history, the Ares-1 ship.
For some reason, the Vex wanted to get their hands on the remains of the ship, and because of you, their plans have been prevented.
