The Teacher is a newly added quest in Warframe that serves as the third tutorial, guiding new players through essential mechanics and foundational gameplay systems.
During this quest, players experience their first encounter with Teshin, who initially appears hostile and challenges the Tenno to prove their strength and worthiness.
Throughout the quest, players are introduced to the modding system, learning to apply elemental upgrades to equipment and combine them into powerful secondary elemental effects.
How To Get The Teacher Quest?
The Teacher was added to Warframe on October 15, 2025, coinciding with the release of Update 40, also known as The Vallis Undermind update.
As players progress through the game’s early quests, The Teacher is inserted between the existing missions, effectively becoming the third main quest in sequence.
This quest can be accessed through the Codex, beginning with a cinematic introduction before leading players into several tutorial missions focused on modding equipment.
The Teacher Quest Walkthrough
The Opportunists
The Corpus have made a move on Earth in an attempt to seize an object discovered there, but they are not the only faction you will encounter.
Their goal is to obtain an Orokin Relic, which is later revealed to be an Orokin Mod Segment that would grant them immense power if secured.
You must follow the waypoint to the source of the signal and recover the Orokin Mod Segment before the Corpus manages to claim it.
Once you reach the Orokin Mod Segment, interact with it to collect it, triggering a powerful wave of energy that blasts you away as the Corpus arrives on-site.
Continue by engaging the incoming Corpus forces in combat, and after defeating them, Teshin Dax will appear unexpectedly and render you unconscious.
When you awaken, you find yourself captured by Teshin, your abilities disabled, and he challenges you to prove your skills by picking up the Thornbak rifle.
After a brief sparring session with Teshin Dax, he leads you to an area containing Target Orbs that are shielded, rendering your initial attacks completely ineffective.
This section introduces the modding tutorial, where you must follow Teshin’s instructions to equip the Stormbringer Rifle Mod before attacking the Target Orbs once again.
Once the Target Orbs are destroyed, additional ones appear with a different type of shield, requiring you to equip the Cryo Rounds Rifle Mod to convert your damage into Magnetic.
You and Teshin are suddenly interrupted by a group of Corpus who begin attacking the facility, forcing you to engage and eliminate the incoming enemies.
While waiting for additional Corpus reinforcements to arrive, Teshin instructs you to bolster your Warframe by installing the Vitality Warframe Mod before continuing the fight.
After defeating the next wave of Corpus forces, Teshin realizes their numbers are overwhelming and orders you to take the Mod Segment, urging you to rush toward the waypoint.
Once you reach the waypoint, retrieve the weapons that were previously confiscated by interacting with the equipment marked by the designated objective marker.
After reclaiming your gear, proceed toward the Extraction Point, fighting through waves of Corpus enemies that attempt to block your escape along the path.
It is later revealed that Teshin Dax has been captured by the Corpus, prompting you to pursue them in an effort to rescue him.
Applied Learning
Once aboard your Orbiter after escaping the Corpus, you are contacted by a Corpus Treasurer who attempts to negotiate, offering Teshin in exchange for the Mod Segment.
Lotus instructs you to install the Mod Segment to enhance your power, directing you to the marked area within the Orbiter to complete the installation.
After the segment is successfully installed, you must dissolve two duplicate Stormbringer mods and then upgrade any mod using the Fusion system.
The Final Test
Start the next mission titled The Final Test, which takes you aboard a Corpus ship where Teshin is being held captive, requiring you to fight toward the waypoint.
Upon reaching Teshin’s holding cell, defeat the Wardens guarding the area, hack the nearby terminal, and attempt to capture Teshin as part of the mission objective.
During this encounter, Teshin resists and challenges you to battle; once defeated, he surrenders and ultimately accepts his role as your mentor.
Lotus assigns you another task, instructing you to make your way to the reactor room and destroy the Reactor Core to bring down the Corpus ship.
Follow the waypoint and hack both control systems, then interact with the nearby terminal to expose the reactor, allowing you to destroy it completely.
After the reactor is destroyed, proceed to the Extraction Point and escape before the ship explodes, marking the completion of The Teacher quest.
