Warframe: Purgator 1 Builds

The Purgator 1 is a Slug Launcher of Scaldra design, which features a high amount of base damage at the cost of low ammo reserves but this can easily be compensated for later.

Depending on what mods you equip the Purgator 1 with, you can boost its damage along with other stats to make using this weapon more convenient in missions you take on.

With its unique trait causing enemies killed with this weapon to create Gas clouds, this weapon can be a great choice for taking down tough enemies as well as weaker groups of them.

Purgator 1 Builds (Our Tested Builds)

1) Critical Slugs (Critical Damage Build)

Being able to deal a high amount of damage, the Purgator 1 can benefit greatly from having an increased Critical Chance as well as Critical Damage.

This is where the Point Strike, Vital Sense and Hammer Shot mods come in as they improve the stats that affect your critical hits.

Stormbringer and Infected Clip have been added and these may be swapped out for other Elemental Damage Type Mods or whichever ones you wish to add.

A Speed Trigger is optional if you want to control the recoil of the weapon and may even be swapped out for Argon Scop or Galvanized Scope.

2) Sniper Slug Launcher (Weakpoint Critical Build)

This build is another build that focuses on Critical Damage but a lot more damage can be inflicted due to the Mods that the Purgator 1 has been equipped with.

The Primary Acuity Mod provides this build with 350% Weak Point Damage and Weak Point Critical Chance while Semi-Rifle Cannonade adds 240% Damage and 1.5 Punch Through.

This however locks your Fire Rate to 1.5 and your Multishot cannot be modified with Mods but you can make up for this with damage and Warframe abilities that increase your Fire Rate.

Aiming for the Weak Points of your enemies is the key to dealing a lot of damage with this build, especially when you score critical hits.

3) Status Slugs (Status Chance Build)

While not the best choice of builds at first, the Purgator 1 can still be modified for Status Chance although the low ammo reserves and magazine capacity can make this difficult.

To make up for this, Galvanized Aptitude has been added to the build to increase the Status Chance even more and to add more damage once it is triggered.

You will want to make sure that you equip the right elemental combinations to deal as much damage as possible to your targets.

The Purgator 1 already has a guaranteed Gas Cloud to be spawned when an enemy dies, which makes it ideal to go for other Damage Types when you add Mods.

4) Hybrid Slugs (Critical and Status Chance Build)

A Hybrid Build for the Purgator 1 works quite well as long as you can trigger the Status changes that you need, which makes each shot even deadlier than the last.

Malignant Force, High Voltage, Thermite Rounds, and Rime Rounds have all been added to the build for more damage per shot and a higher Status Chance.

Vital Sense and Point Strike have been added to provide a higher Critical Chance and Critical Multiplier while Speed Trigger compensates for the slow rate of fire.

Using this build can be useful for easier missions when it comes to clearing out enemies or on harder ones for targeting enemies that have more health.

Verdict

The Purgator 1 has a high amount of base damage, which gives you a lot of options when it comes to modding the weapon.

While enemies killed by this weapon will spawn Gas Clouds, focusing on being able to eliminate targets with a single shot can make it more effective.

Multishot works well with the Purgator 1 to maximize damage and it may be ideal to avoid adding mods that reduce its accuracy to avoid missing shots.
