Warframe: Infested Oni Guide (2026) (Location, Drops, Weakness & Defeating)

The Infested Oni is a powerful and heavily armored Infested boss that the Tenno encounter and must defeat during the Saya’s Visions mission on Earth.

Unlike standard Infested enemies, this boss appears after progressing through shrine objectives, acting as the final threat that must be defeated to complete the mission.

Understanding how the shrine mechanics work is essential, as defeating the Infested Oni requires both enemy elimination and offering management.

Infested Oni Location

The Infested Oni is encountered in the Saya’s Visions mission, which is a Shrine Defense mission that is located in the Earth system.

Infested Oni will appear later on after a bit of progression in the mission, and serves as a boss that appears after the first set of offerings are brought to the shrine.

How to Defeat Infested Oni?

Before the Infested Oni makes its appearance, you will need to collect offerings from the village, which is prepared after a certain duration if no enemies are nearby.

Once an offering has been collected, it will need to be taken to the shrine to be deposited, which automatically happens when you bring the offering near it.

After the first 5 offerings have been deposited, start defeating enemies as they appear until you have defeated a specific number.

The number of enemies that need to be defeated depends on how many players are in the mission, stacking 30 enemies per player.

Once enough enemies have been defeated, the Infested Oni will appear, and you will be able to damage its health until half of it is gone.

The Infested Oni will become invulnerable, and to damage it again, you will need to collect 2 more offerings and deliver them to the shrine.

After the offerings have been delivered, you will now be able to finish off the Infested Oni, and the mission will end shortly after.

 Infested Oni Weaknesses

The Infested Oni is a more durable type of infested enemy, which is vulnerable to Blast and Gas damage but is more resistant to Viral damage.

Avoid using Viral damage against this enemy as it tends to deal less, and instead utilize either Blast or Gas, and if possible, a combination of the two damage types.

Tips

  • Clear enemies quickly during offering phases to prevent interruptions, especially when waiting for new offerings to become available near the village.
  • Utilize Gas and/or Blast damage against Infested Oni to deal increased damage and reduce the time spent during its vulnerable phases.
  • The Infested Oni can be engaged from a distance, but it will frequently roll toward you, so be ready to evade and reposition when it closes the gap.
  • Stay mobile throughout the mission to avoid being surrounded by Infested enemies and to prevent the Infested Oni from easily catching up to you.

Verdict

The Infested Oni fight is straightforward once you understand the flow of the shrine objectives and how the boss phases are triggered.

Most of the mission’s difficulty comes from staying on top of enemies and keeping the objective moving rather than the boss itself.

After a few runs, the encounter feels quick and manageable, making it an easy mission to complete whether playing solo or in a squad.
