Focus Energy is a useful mod for melee builds that could use a little extra damage with the bonus of being able to utilize Heavy Attacks more often, but then again you can resort to Tennokai.
It makes your Heavy Attacks feel smoother and more impactful, letting you maintain momentum without worrying too much about combo decay.
