If you have gotten your hands on Kuva or Tenet weapons in the past, you will know that these Adversary Weapons have an additional Damage Type.
These Damage Types could be altered with the use of Valence Fusion in the past but there is now another way for you to change their Elements.
This is done by using an Elemental Vice, which is an item that was added in the Techrot Encore Update, which allows you to perform a Valence Override.
How To Get Elemental Vice?
There are multiple ways to get your hands on an Elemental Vice, which would mainly involve purchasing it with Platinum, The Hex Standing, or getting it as a reward.
1) Purchase From Market
One of the quickest ways to get an Elemental Vice would be to purchase it from the in-game Market, which will cost you 20 Platinum each.
When you attempt to choose Valence Override when upgrading your weapon, you will be prompted to purchase if you do not have any.
2) Purchase From Eleanor
You may purchase an Elemental Vice from Eleanor’s Wares if you have reached Rank 5 (Pizza Party) with The Hex. (This costs 50,000 Standing)
Eleanor may be visited at the Hollvania Central Mall, which you can easily do by fast traveling to her.
3) Temporal Archimedea Rewards
The new activity added in the Techrot Encore Update called Temporal Archimedea allows you to obtain several rewards, and Elemental Vices are one of them.
When doing a Temporal Archimedea run, having at least 10 or 20 Research Points active will provide you with a chance to get Elemental Vice for each Reward Pool.
How To Use Elemental Vice?
To use Elemental Vice, select the Coda, Tenet, or Kuva Adversary Weapon that you would like to alter, which can be done by heading to your Equipment Menu.
Select “Upgrade” to view the Mods that are equipped on the weapon and choose the “Actions” option at the bottom.
The Valence Override option will be available for Adversary Weapons that have been upgraded with Forma to their max rank. (Rank 40)
Choose Valence Override and you will be able to choose the new element for your weapon, which will cost an Elemental Vice.
Verdict
The use of Elemental Vices is a great way to perfect your weapon’s build, and this can be perfect for making a weapon effective against more than one type of enemy.
Changing the Damage Type of an Adversary Weapon will still allow you to build for other Elemental Damage Types and this can help compensate for replaced Mods.
Compared To Valence Fusion, Valence Override is a much faster way that does not require too much grinding and can be a quicker way to finish up your weapon’s build.
