Dominus Aureus is a currency that was introduced when the Isleweaver Update was released and is used to obtain various rewards from Dominus Thrax.
These belonged to Dominus Thrax before they were stolen, and he demands that they be returned to him, which will restore his royal authority.
During Operation: Eight Claw, this currency may be obtained, and as players continue to progress with the event, more items become available from Dominus Thrax.
Where To Farm Dominus Aureus?
Similar to Scuttler Husk, Dominus Aureus can be obtained by completing the Isleweaver Activity during the Operation: Eight Claw event.
This event overrides the Isleweaver Activity but provides the same rewards, including those from the Duviri Murmur Invasion. (Isleweaver)
How To Farm Dominus Aureus?
At the end of the Isleweaver Activity, Dominus Aureus will be rewarded after you have opened the chest that appears after defeating the Murmur Boss.
You will need to progress through the Isleweaver Activity as you normally would, but to obtain Dominus Aureus, this must be done during Operation: Eight Claw.
Similar to Scuttler Husks, the amount of Dominus Aureus that you obtain may vary with each run of the activity.
Dominus Aureus Uses
Dominus Aureus may be exchanged for items from Dominus Thrax by accessing the “Return Dominus Aureus” menu when speaking to him in the Dormizone.
Spending Dominus Aureus will count towards Community Progression, which later unlocks some of the other items that are locked when Operation: Eight Claw has just started.

Dominus Aureus Resource Booster
Having a Resource Booster active while you obtain Dominus Aureus will not increase the amount that you obtain.
Instead, farming this currency is best done in Steel Path to maximize the amount you can get per run if you can handle the difficulty.
Verdict
During Operation: Eight Claw, you will have plenty of time to obtain enough Dominus Aureus to purchase everything that Dominus Thrax has for sale.
The more players spend their Dominus Aureus, the sooner the other Sigils that Dominus Thrax has will be unlocked.
Purchasing Arcane Mods using Dominus Aureus is a great way to complete any collections you have that are incomplete, but the amount you may buy is limited per type.
