Kela De Thaym is a Grineer General and serves as a boss in the Sedna system, who is well known for being a cruel and violent leader.
She holds the Rathuum, an arena where Grineer defectors pit against Executioners in battle to serve as a sport for the forces that she commands.
Defeating Kela De Thaym allows players to obtain component blueprints for the Saryn, making her an early source for a powerful poison-themed Warframe.
Kela De Thaym Location
Kela De Thaym runs the Rathuum, which makes it necessary to obtain Judgement Points, a reward provided in the Nakki, Yam, and Vodyanoi missions in the Sedna System.
Once you have 25 Judgement Points, you will be able to challenge Kela De Thaym in the Merrow (Assassination Mission), also located in the Sedna System.
How to Defeat General Kela De Thaym?
Once the mission begins, you will need to fight your way to the area below the arena and to take the large lift going up.
Upon reaching the lift, a certain number of override switches will glow depending on how many players are in the mission. (One if you are alone)
Stand on the override switch that is glowing and shoot the glowing button once the rotating disc reveals it while you are standing on the switch to activate the lift that will bring you up to the arena.
Once you are in the arena, Kela De Thaym will jump onto the center, and this will knock you back if you are standing on it or pull you towards her if you are on another platform.
Attack Kela De Thaym with your weapons or abilities, which can be done until her health has been reduced to a third of its maximum.
After the damage has been dealt to Kela De Thaym, she will become invulnerable and retreat before starting multiple orbital strikes.
The orbital strikes will target your exact location, which makes it important to stay mobile until they stop, which will allow you to make your way to the override switches.
Make your way to the glowing override switches and repeat the steps as you did when you first entered the arena, which is to stand on them and shoot the green buttons that are revealed.
You will need to do this for all 4 of the override switches, and there will also be a timer in between that causes orbital strikes to be unleashed once again.
Once all the override switches have been activated, Kela De Thaym will return to the arena, knocking you down or pulling you towards her, depending on where you are positioned.
Continue attacking Kela De Thaym as you did earlier until another third of her health has been reduced, which will cause her to retreat again, leaving you to repeat the same steps.
You will need to do this up to three times, and on the third time, you will be able to completely take out all her health, which will result in her death and you being able to extract from the mission.
General Kela De Thaym Weaknesses
Much like the other Grineer enemies that you have faced, Kela De Thaym also has a combination of Alloy Armor and Cloned Flesh.
This makes it best to use Corrosive and Impact Damage against her to deal the most damage, which will allow you to drain her health faster.

- The orbital strikes are slow and easy to avoid, making them easy to dodge by simply running around in a circle around the center platform.
Verdict
Once you become familiar with the arena mechanics, the fight feels structured and manageable rather than chaotic, allowing you to complete each phase smoothly without unnecessary delays.
With the right weapon setup and consistent execution of the mechanics, runs can be finished efficiently, making repeated attempts far less frustrating over time.
Overall, this boss encounter is straightforward once learned and remains a reliable farm for players progressing through Sedna and working toward stronger equipment.
