Warframe: EFV-8 Mars Builds

Several secondary weapons in Warframe offer a good amount of damage that depends on your builds but there is a certain pistol that was added in the Techrot Encore Update that is special.

The EFV-8 Mars can deal a great amount of damage and if this is not what you are after, you can use it as a primer when you want to weaken enemies with Status Effects.

Depending on what Mods you equip this weapon with, you can either use it to fire precise shots at your targets or prime multiple enemies with a charged shot.

EFV-8 Mars Builds

1) Critical Shots (Critical Damage Build)

This build mainly focuses on Critical Damage and is barely used as a Primer, which instead acts as a way for you to deal damage with decent accuracy.

Using this build on the EFV-8 Mars can help serve as a backup when your Primary Weapon is out or if it doesn’t have the best accuracy when fired at a distance.

The Critical Damage you can deal with this build is scaled up to 4.4x with a Critical Chance of 77.5% which often lets you score critical hits.

Added to the build are Pressured Magazine and Gunslinger, which give it a fast fire rate but these can be substituted with other Mods if you prefer to alter the build.

2) Status Shots (Status Chance Build)

While the base Status Chance of the EFV-8 Mars is low when it comes to its Primary Firing mode, you still get a good 71.4% and this isn’t that bad.

When it comes to this build, your main way to inflict Status Effects is to use its Alternate Fire as the attack has a higher Status Chance, which we have boosted to 138.6% with this build.

What makes this build useful is that it may include 2 or 3 combined elemental damage types, making it easier to inflict several status effects onto your enemies.

Included are the 4 Elemental Damage and Status Mods while Galvanized Shot has been added more Status Chance after a kill and extra damage to those who suffer from Status Effects.

3) Hybrid Shots (Critical and Status Chance Build)

Using the EFV-8 often in missions may require a build that has the best of both worlds, which is why this Hybrid Build was created.

It includes Mods that affect your Critical Chance, Critical Multiplier, and the Damage Types that you have since all 4 Elemental Damage and Status Mods are added.

Rearranging Jolt, Scorch, Frostbite, and Pistol Pestilence will allow you to modify the Damage Types to work better against certain factions and to apply specific Status Effects.

Making use of the Alternate Fire is a good way to start an attack while firing as this can inflict Status Effects while the EFV-8 Mars’ Primary Attack can be used to deal Critical Damage.

Verdict

A single Charged Shot (Alternate Fire) can inflict multiple Status Effects on several targets if they are close together and the different Damage Types affect this.

Adding Elemental Damage Types will affect not only the Primary Fire Mode of the EFV-8 Mars but also the Charged Shot.

When it comes to dealing damage at medium to longer distances, the EFV-8 Mars can be a good way to damage enemies from afar.
