One of the Water Pals that was introduced in the Tides of Terraria update is called Turtacle, which can be a huge help for characters who are burdened by the armor they wear.
Turtacle appears to have a large shell covering its head and tentacles that it may use when in battle or as it carries out tasks at a base.
Catching this Pal can be useful for players who are short on weight or for those who need a Pal that is capable of Mining and/or Watering at a base.

Turtacle can be found in several fishing spots around the center islands, including around the Frostbound Mountains, Eastern Island, Marsh Island, Investigator’s Fork, and Ascetic Falls.
You may also find Turtacle roaming around when you visit the Isle of Decayed Treasures instead of having to fish for them in the water.

Turtacle Uses
At higher levels, Turtacle can utilize some of the more powerful Water Active Skills, making it a decent fighter, especially against Fire Pals.
Its ability to reduce the weight of the armor that you are carrying with you can be beneficial for exploration or when you are clearing dungeons to prevent becoming overburdened.
Assigning Turtacle at a base will allow it to take on different tasks, which include Mining, Watering, and even moving items that it finds on the ground.
