With the addition of Fishing to Palworld after the Tides of Terraria update, you may have started exploring the open waters to find Pals to catch.
While doing this, you most likely may have stumbled upon the Salvage Spots, and these can be interacted with for a chance to get resources if you have a Powerful Fishing Magnet.
Powerful Fishing Magnets were introduced in the Tides of Terraria update and are necessary for those who wish to loot Salvage spots to get different items, including Coralum Ore.
How To Unlock and Craft Powerful Fishing Magnet?
Unlocking the Powerful Fishing Magnet will require that you progress more with your character to the point where you reach Level 61.
Once you reach Level 61, you may unlock this item from your Technology Menu at the cost of 3 Technology Points and may craft it at a Production Assembly Line II or better structure.
Crafting a Powerful Fishing Magnet requires 1 Hexolite to make 10 pieces.
How To Use Powerful Fishing Magnet?
To use the Powerful Fishing Magnet, you will need to explore the open waters around Palpagos Islands until you find Salvage Spots.
These appear as broken barrels scattered all over the place and are easy to reach with Water Pals and Flying Pals, but traveling by water is recommended.
Interacting with Salvage Spots requires you to have a Fishing Rod, a Powerful Fishing Magnet, and be riding a Water Pal.
Upon interacting with the Salvage Spot, a minigame will begin, and you will need to time the dial correctly when it moves to the highlighted area.
Success with this minigame will provide you with various loot and will consume a Powerful Fishing Magnet each time you interact with a Salvage Spot.
The Fishing Rod that you have equipped will provide much of an effect when it comes to obtaining loot from Salvage Spots, but bringing a Jelliette with you can increase the items obtained.
Verdict
The Powerful Fishing Magnet is extremely useful to get your hands on once you reach Level 61, as this can set the path to obtaining a lot of Coralum Ore to be used later.
Since this item does not cost that much and yields 10 pieces each time you craft it, stocking up on them will be something you want to do later, just in case you swim around the water.
Without a Powerful Fishing Magnet, you will not be able to interact with Salvage Spots, which will result in you missing out on possibly good loot.
