Most of the Pals in Palworld have special abilities that are only unlocked once you craft their saddle or required key item, and the Hartalis Saddle works the same way.
If you have not encountered the Raid Boss Pal yet, you will need to defeat Hartalis during a raid, hatch your own, and then craft its saddle to unlock its riding ability.
While some players are confused about how to ride Hartalis at first, the process becomes very straightforward once you have cleared the fight and obtained the Hartalis Saddle.
How To Get Hartalis Saddle?
The Hartalis Saddle will not appear in your Technology Menu unless you have already bred and obtained your own Hartalis Pal.
Since Hartalis cannot be caught, you need to defeat the Raid Boss to obtain its Huge Neutral Egg drop and hatch it into a Pal.
Once you have your first Hartalis and your character has reached Level 65, the Hartalis Saddle will become available to unlock in the Technology Menu.
After unlocking the Hartalis Saddle, you can craft it at a Pal Gear Workbench, and once you claim it, you may begin using Hartalis as a mount.
Hartalis Saddle Uses
Having the Hartalis Saddle in your inventory allows you to ride the Pal, and it can move extremely fast while traveling on foot across the map with very little slowdown.
You will also be able to activate its Sacred Barrier ability, which makes both you and Hartalis immune to damage for a short period of time during combat.
While the barrier is active, you can still safely use weapons while riding Hartalis or use its other attacks, but dismounting will immediately put the barrier on cooldown.
In addition to this, riding Hartalis lets you use its triple jump, allowing you to reach areas that most other Pals simply cannot access easily or safely.
Verdict
You cannot unlock or craft the Hartalis Saddle until reaching Level 65, but by then, the required materials should already be ready to use.
Once crafted, the saddle will appear in your Key Items and let you ride any Hartalis you own while using its speed, triple jump, and barrier.
Even if you are not focused on combat, the Hartalis Saddle is still worth getting for easier travel, exploration, and access to areas most other Pals cannot reach
