After previously being trapped by Belial in the Realm of Lies, he has been making progress and will only continue to grow stronger.
With his attunement with the world complete, he is closer to pulling Sanctuary into the Realm of Lies and this does not bode well for everyone.
There is only one last chance to stop Belial and this is to confront him once and for all within his temple and hopefully, you succeed in defeating him.
How To Get The Lord of Lies Quest?
The Lord of Lies quest becomes available once you have reached Tier 9 with the Unveiler’s Oath and will automatically become active once this happens.
Aside from reaching Tier 9, confronting Belial will require that you are on the Torment I difficulty or higher before you may face him in the Temple of the Palace of the Deceiver.
The Lord of Lies Walkthrough
Upon receiving the Lord of Lies quest, you will need to head to Tarsarak to speak with Sayeena and she will instruct you to confront Belial.
After your conversation with Sayeena, you will need to switch to the Torment I difficulty, which can be done at the statues at Kyovashad, Cerrigar, or the Kurast Bazaar.
If you have not reached Torment I, you will need to complete the Pit of the Artificer (Tier 10) after you have reached Level 60.
Once you have switched to the Torment I difficulty, head to the Palace of the Deceiver in Amber Sands within the region of Kehjistan.
After you have entered the Palace of the Deceiver, make your way to the boss area and you will find Belial, who transforms into his final form.
From here on, you will need to evade Belial’s attacks (especially his one-hit slam attack) and defeat him before returning to Sayeena. (Speaking to her will complete the quest)
The Lord of Lies Quest Rewards
After defeating Belial and speaking to Sayeena, the Lord of Lies quest will be complete and this will reward you with the following:
- XP
- Gold
- Archetype Cache
Verdict
Belial was able to grasp Sanctuary due to the time it took to confront him but eventually, you were able to defeat him in his temple.
His previous victims, including the Knight Jarius as still nowhere to be found and their fates remain forever unknown.
Despite his defeat, Belial still exists in the world and this requires that you remain cautious as he may attempt to exact vengeance at any unexpected time.
