You and Sayeena previously attempted to summon Belial to his temple and banish him from Sanctuary but the effort failed.
Sayeena discovered that Belial had some fear in him and this gave her hope but before anything, she needed to make plans for what to do next.
After you have recently continued to gain more power, it’s time to check in on Sayeena to see what the two of you can do next and deal with Belial.
How To Get Chasing Lies Quest?
Chasing Lies becomes available once you have gained enough reputation with the Unveiler’s Oath, which requires you to tackle the Belial’s Apparition Incursion repeatable quest.
Once you have reached Tier 7 with the Unveiler’s Oath, the Chasing Lies quest will begin and you may start by heading over to Sayeena.
Chasing Lies Walkthrough
Once the quest begins, head to Sayeena’s Shop and speak with her to begin discussing what the two of you will do next.
While Sayeena is speaking with you, Jarius arrives and suspects that the two of you are up to no good as he claims to have witnessed you summoning Belial.
Jarius will run to the exit after mentioning that he will come back with the full support of the Cathedral to put a stop to your plans.
You and Sayeena must rush after Jarius to stop him or else her plans will be ruined and Belial will be successful in turning the Sanctuary into his realm.
As you exit the shop, you are surprisingly not back at Tarsarak but will instead find yourself in the Icehowl Taiga where Sayeena and Jarius are now nowhere in sight.
Now, you must make your way through the Icehowl Taiga and search for both Jarius and Sayeena by exploring the area.
After fighting your way through countless demons, you can hear Jarius screaming and will need to help him by fending off the rest of the demons.
It appears that Jarius stands near his fallen comrades and this image shows that he didn’t fight alongside his brothers and instead abandoned them.
Together with Jarius, the two of you will now need to search for Sayeena who is not too far from where the two of you are.
Continue making your way through the Icehowl Taiga until you find a portal and upon entering it, you will find yourselves in Kehjistan.
Fight your way through what appears to be a destroyed version of Kehjistan until you find Sayeena, who is currently blaming herself for the region’s demise.
It is here that everyone realizes that you are trapped within the Realm of Lies, which explains what you saw earlier with Jarius and what you currently have witnessed with Sayeena.
An entrance to another section of the Realm of Lies will be nearby and along with Jarius and Sayeena, you will need to enter it.
Fight your way through the demons and make your way to the end of this section of the Realm of Lies and you will find Belial’s Chamber.
Belial will appear in the chamber and you will have to fight him alongside Sayeena but Jarius will be of no help because he will run and cower in fear at the side.
After defeating Belial, it will appear that this was all just an illusion and Sayeena will already have a plan to get you all out of the Realm of Lies.
A portal will open up that will lead to Sayeena’s Shop and you will need to enter it to escape the false reality that you are trapped in.
Once you are back at Sayeena’s Shop, you will need to speak to Sayeena but something is wrong as it appears Jarius never made it out and is still trapped in the Realm of Lies. (Quest ends here)
Chasing Lies Quest Rewards
Escaping the Realm of Lies and speaking to Sayeena in her shop will complete the Chasing Lies quest, which will reward you with the following:
- XP
- Gold
- Archetype Cache
Verdict
The moment you arrived at Sayeena’s Shop, it seemed that some plans were about to be made but this was interrupted by Jarius who was confused about what was going on.
It turns out that Belial had already begun manifesting the Realm of Lies into Sanctuary and only a glimpse of his power was displayed but this was enough to rattle your team.
While you and Sayeena were able to escape the Realm of Lies, Jarius unfortunately never made it out and his fate is currently unknown as he is now trapped in a false and torturous reality.
