The cleansing ritual for the Tree of Whispers was a success and now the search for another head needs to be done but your help will once again be needed.
While the Tree of Whispers has been cleaned, the heads that are to be retrieved will also need a ritual done to prevent the corruption of the tree.
Meanwhile, Ouna needs your help as she has been listening to the whispers from one of the missing heads and needs you to join her.
A Friend in Need Quest Walkthrough
Once the quest begins, you will need to speak to Caidin to check if he has anything for you to do, and upon speaking to him, he will direct you to Ouna.
Speaking to Ouna will end up with her talking about one of the heads (Fal,thane) that she will look for and she asks you to join her at Scosglen.
Fast travel to Scosglen and make your way to the Bleeding Roothold, which will be a dungeon that should be marked on your map.
Your next step will be to clear the Bleeding Roothold, which may require that you do objectives such as completing Rites, Rituals, or ceremonies.
After the initial objectives, you will need to uproot Exposed Roots within the dungeon before you may progress to the boss.
At the end of the dungeon, you will need to interact with the Exposed Root and this will summon the Cunning Headless Husk that you must defeat.
Once the boss has been defeated, speak to Ouna and this will begin a cutscene where she speaks to Fal’thane (Fugitive Head) before the quest is completed.
A Friend in Need Quest Rewards
After the cutscene where Ouna speaks to Fal’thane, the quest will be complete and you will obtain XP and Gold depending on your current level.
This also brings up the Whispers in the Wind repeatable quest, which must be finished before you may proceed with the next Seasonal Quest called “The Crux of the Rot.”
Verdict
It appears that while several heads may have gone missing, obtaining them is doable since their whispers can be heard from afar.
Ouna is grateful for your help with the retrieval of Fal’thane’s head but just like the others, they will need to be cleansed.
Preparations for another ceremony still need to be made and there is more to do at the Tree of Whispers once you have progressed through the season.
