After previously heading to the Silent Roothold where you retrieved Belith’s head, you come back and the Coven prepares for a ritual.
The ritual is meant to cleanse the Tree of Whispers and with your help, the necessary preparations have been made.
You are now to join the Coven and will help them out with the cleansing ritual but this will also require you to prepare to fight Hollows.

Once the quest starts, you will need to head to the Tree of Whispers and speak to Gelena to check if the ritual has been prepared.
The group confirms this in a cutscene and this requires that you join them by interacting with the ritual circle that they are standing by.
Interacting with Coven’s Ritual Circle will change the scene, taking you into a dungeon with the same appearance as the Tree of Whispers’ area.
Each of the members will recite part of the ritual, which will be the words Ayh, Yew, and Oun spoken by Gelena, Caidin, and Ouna.
The next step will require that you interact with each of the Ritual Braziers, following the order that was spoken by the members of the Coven.
You will need to interact with the Ritual Braziers in the following order:
- Ayh (Left)
- Yew (Right)
- Oun (Top)
This will cause 3 vials of Nangari Blood, which you will need to pick up and after collecting them all, you will need to walk around the circle.
Hollows will begin to appear and you will have to slay them all until none are left, which eventually results in you fighting a Defiled Caster.
Once all of the Hollows have been defeated, you may exit the dungeon and speak to Galena again at the Tree of Whispers. (Quest ends here)

After speaking to Galena upon exiting the dungeon, you will be rewarded with XP and Gold along with a Salvage Cache.
The next Seasonal Quest will be available after you have completed another “Whispers in the Wind” repeatable quest. (A Friend In Need)
Verdict
With the success of the Coven’s ritual, the missing heads may now safely be returned to the Tree of Whispers but there is more to be done.
Ouna spoke of another ritual that will need to be completed to cleanse the heads before they are returned to the branches of the tree or else it will be corrupted.
You have been advised to continue following the whispers in preparation for the next ritual, which will soon happen as you progress more.
