The Specimen ID: NES002 Quest is provided to Guardians during the second week of A Rising Chorus: Act 2 (Part 2) and was introduced with The Final Shape.
You will be able to obtain this quest once you reach quest step 15 of A Rising Chorus: Act 1 as it needs to be claimed to progress.
Specimen ID: NES002 Quest Steps
Step 1: Complete patrols, public events, and Lost Sectors to triangulate the source of this specimen
Failsafe needs your help to conduct more research on the specimen that you found and this can be done by doing activities on Nessus.
This step of the quest requires that you complete Nessus activities and bounties that may be acquired from Failsafe.

Step 2: Speak with Failsafe in the H.E.L.M. to review her spectrum analysis report
Failsafe is happy with your progress and has already prepared a report for you after you have collected the data she needed.
You will need to head to the H.E.L.M. to speak with her before you can progress and later complete the quest.

During this quest step, you will be able to obtain Well Constellation Fragments, which are used to power one of the wells on Nessus.
Step 3: Travel to the H.E.L.M. and place the Well Constellation fragments in your specimen collection
After speaking to Failsafe, you will need to bring the Well Constellation fragments in your specimen collection found within the H.E.L.M.

Completing this quest unlocks Weekly Deepsight Focusing, which causes the first Echo Weapon that you focus on having guaranteed Deepsight Resonance each week.
Additionally, you gain another specimen that should now be displayed in your collection that can be found aboard the H.E.L.M.
