There are several collectibles that Guardians can get their hands on in Destiny 2 and some of these have specific purposes.
One of these is Coalescence of the Knife, which is required for obtaining the Warped Osseous Spine later to obtain an exotic quest called A Silken Path.
Some Guardians have struggled to figure out how these may be obtained, which is why we have created this guide to quickly get you all 3 of them.
How to Get All Coalescence of the Knife?
1) Vengeance Quests Coalescence
One of the first Coalescence of the Knife that you may obtain is known to come from the Vengeance Quests that become available from the Shaping Slab.
These become available once you have reached Quest Step 4 in Act III: Crossed Blades quest and you can obtain a total of 6 quests.
The Coalescence of the Knife from these quests will be rewarded randomly and will have a chance to be obtained when you complete any of these quests.
Some may have noticed the Coalescence of the Knife even after completing all these quests, but it turns out it may not have just shown.
Once you obtain the other 2 Coalescences, it would be a good idea to try to enter the portal in the Hull Breach location as you may already have the last one.
2) The Founts Coalescence
Once you reach The Founts or begin The Nether in this location, search for the room that is filled with runes past the forging room.
There is a secret here that requires you to memorize 3 runes near the entrance and upon entering the room, you will need to shoot these in order.
While shooting the 3 runes to make the chest spawn is optional, it is said that it helps another rune appear.
Regardless of whether you do the rune puzzle, there is a chance that this circular rune will appear and some say being on the Path of Resolve helps it spawn.
You may need to do several runs before this run appears though as there is only a certain chance that it will appear.
After shooting the rune on the pillar, the door nearby will open and this will lead you to a maze underground.
Traverse the maze until you find a Taken orb and destroy it, which will spawn a chest that contains the Coalescence of the Knife.
3) Hull Breach Coalescence
When exploring the Nether, you can find a Coalescence of the Knife just around the starting area and this all begins near a banner.
If you approach the nearby banner, you will notice that an orb is nearby that appears as the other orbs that you find that reveal secrets.
Approach the orb and interact with it to cause an enemy called Skyburner’s Grudge to appear nearby.
You will need to defeat the Skyburner’s Grudge to get the Legion Code buff, which will give you access to a room below you.
Head under the area where you found the banner and fought Skyburner’s Grudge, and you will find that the room is sealed by a barrier.
Interacting with the barrier to remove it (Using the Legion Code) and open the chest within the room to obtain the Coalescence of the Knife.
Verdict
There are instances where the secrets that lead to you obtaining a Coalescence of the Knife might not be available, which may result in the need to restart The Nether.
Depending on where you start in The Nether, sometimes obtaining them may be easy while others can make several attempts.
After you have obtained all 3 of the Coalescences, you may gain access to the Crossed Blades Tithe portal to obtain the Warped Osseus Spine.
