“An ingredient that adds a bit of spice to anything it touches.”
The Hive enemies in Destiny 2 are well known to have chitin-like armor, making them a good source of Chitin Powder. If you are aiming to get your hands on some Chitin Power, you’ll most likely want to hunt some Hive enemies.
The Chitin Power will be useful when it comes to baking certain goods in Eva’s Holiday Oven to later give to NPCs.
Where To Get Chitin Powder?
You will be able to find Chitin Powder wherever there are Hive enemies during The Dawning event, and will simply need to go to locations where a lot of them are present.
A good place to hunt Hive enemies would be on Savathun’s Throne World, as there are tons of them around as well as in Lost Sectors.
How To Get Chitin Powder?
Chitin Power will drop when you defeat Hive enemies, no matter what type they are and there will be a chance for each enemy to drop it.
The best way for you to get Chitin Powder would be to go do activities where you will encounter multiple Hive enemies to defeat.
We found it best to do Lost Sectors as these can be repeated and can ensure you run into Hive enemies over and over again.
Chitin Powder Uses
During The Dawning event, you can make use of Chitin Powder in baking goods in Eva’s Holiday Oven, which can later be given to NPCs.
Recipes that require Chitin Powder include the following:
- Ascendant Oatmeal Raisin Cookies
- Etheric Coldsnaps
- Bright-Dusted Snowballs
- Lucent Crunch
Chitin Powder is one of the main ingredients for some of the recipes in Eva’s Holiday Oven and you may need it when you want to give certain NPCs gifts.
While the Hive does not exist in all of the destinations, some have quite a good amount but Savathun’s Throne World remains a favorite spot to hunt them.
It would be good to storm a few Lost Sectors if you want to get a good amount or do activities that are sure to set you up against the Hive.
