After recovering all three Splinters of Evil, your final task is to return to Deckard Cain and decide which of their powers you will wield.
Legacy of Hope concludes the Season 15 storyline while introducing the Prime Evil Powers that become an important part of your seasonal progression.
There is very little fighting involved this time, with the quest mainly requiring you to meet Cain and choose which Splinter you wish to bear.
How To Get Legacy of Hope Quest?
Legacy of Hope becomes available after completing The Brother’s Keeper and collecting the Splinter of Terror after defeating Diablo within his Waking Nightmare.
By this point, you should have recovered the Splinters of Terror, Destruction, and Hatred from the three Prime Evil Waking Nightmares.
Use the portal that appears after collecting the Splinter of Terror to return to the Imperial Library and continue the quest with Deckard Cain.
Legacy of Hope Walkthrough
After returning to the Imperial Library, approach Deckard Cain and speak with him to discuss the three Splinters you have recovered throughout the questline.
Once your conversation has finished, interact with the table and place the Splinter of Terror alongside the other Splinters that were previously recovered.
Speak with Deckard Cain again as he explains what can be done with the Splinters before you are given an important choice.
You will now be able to choose one of the three Splinters of Evil, allowing you to bear the power associated with that Prime Evil.
Only one Prime Evil Splinter can be active at a time, with each providing its own Iconic Power and affecting different activities during Season 15.
Choose the Splinter you want to start with and confirm your selection to complete Legacy of Hope and finish the Seasonal Questline.
Your first selection does not permanently lock you into that Splinter, so you will still be able to pursue the other Prime Evil powers afterward.
Additional Splinters can be obtained from the largest Waking Nightmares, allowing you to change the Prime Evil power and reputation track you are currently using.
Legacy of Hope Quest Rewards
Completing Legacy of Hope rewards you with XP and Gold, with the amounts you receive depending on your character’s level when completing the quest.
You will also unlock the Prime Evil Powers feature, allowing your chosen Splinter to provide its associated Iconic Power while progressing through Season 15.
This also opens up further progression for your Splinter through its reputation track and War Plans, which provide additional modifiers and upgrades.
