Jellroy is a Water Pal that was introduced when the Tides of Terraria update was released, and having this Pal around can be an excellent way to farm certain items.
This jellyfish-like Pal tends to float around peacefully until provoked, but once you catch one for yourself, it can be a valuable addition to your team.
Capable of utilizing both Water and Dark Active Skills, Jellroy can help you out when it comes to fighting Pals or may peacefully work at your base.
Jellroy Location Map
Unlike most of the Pals that were added in the Tides of Terraria update, Jellroy does not always have to be fished out of the water.
If you head to the Phantom Isle at roughly around (-906, -202) and roam around, you will eventually find Jellroy wandering around in groups.
Additionally, should you have a Fishing Pond at your base, Jellroy can be obtained as one of the Pals that can be rewarded from fishing. (Small Fish Shadow)
Jellroy Uses
Fighting alongside Jellroy will provide you with a Pal that has both Water and Dark Active Skills, which can come in handy against certain Pals.
When assigned to a base, Jellroy can take on some tasks that most Pals are not available to do, such as Medicine Production and even Watering if you don’t have an available Water Pal.
Jellroy can also be a useful Pal to have around when you plan on searching for Salvage, as it can increase the amount of items you obtain.
Partner Skill
Jellroy Drop
Having Jellroy in your team will increase the items that you obtain from Salvage, providing you with more each time you attempt the minigame at a Salvage Spot.
If you have both Jelliette and Jellroy in your base, Jellroy will benefit from a boost in its Watering Speed when doing related tasks.
Work Suitability
Jellroy can be useful for more than just accompanying you while you fish; it can also cover certain tasks at a base, depending on what you need from it.
- Handiwork (Level 1)
- Medicine Production (Level 1)
- Transporting (Level 1)
- Watering (Level 2)
Jellroy Possible Drops
- Pal Fluids
- Jellroy Bell Flesh
Verdict
While Jellroy may not be one of the deadliest Pals around, having one in your team can be a huge boost when it comes to hunting for Salvage.
A great way to get the most from salvage is to simply have this Pal in your team when you roam around on a fast Water Pal searching for Salvage Spots.
Condensing a Jellroy will eventually allow you to get even more items when it is in your team, since this will increase the level of its Partner Skill.
