How To Get Potato Seeds and Grow Potatoes in Palworld

When the Feybreak Update was released, there were new vegetables introduced to Palworld and one of them was the Potato.

Much like the other ingredients that are considered crops in the game, Potatoes need to be grown from a plantation, which is where Potato Seeds come in.

Potato Seeds can be obtained just like any of the other vegetable seeds that you can get in the game and are the key to starting your unlimited supply of Potatoes for cooking.

How To Get Potato Seeds?

Potato Seeds can be found in certain chests that you may encounter as you are exploring the different parts of the Overworld.

Certain places where you can find specific Grass Pals or their other variants are also a good place to head over too since there are Pals that drop Potato Seeds as well.

The following are the Pals that can be defeated or captured to obtain Potato Seeds:

  • Broncherry
  • Broncherry Aqua
  • Flopie
  • Ribunny Botan
  • Robinquill
  • Robinquill Terra

Potato Seed Uses

The only use for Potato Seeds in Palworld is for building a Potato Plantation as this is the only structure in the game that allows you to get Potatoes.

The Potato Plantation is a structure that can be unlocked in your Technology Menu once you have reached Level 29.

Upon building a Potato Plantation, you will be able to tend to the structure by performing the required tasks to grow Potatoes. (Your Pals can do this too)

Best Way to Grow Potatoes

Since Potatoes may be grown once you reach Level 29, you will want to make sure that you have the right Pals for the job once you unlock it.

Even if you can manually do all the processes at a plantation, having Pals in your base with the necessary Work Skills will speed things up and allow you to focus on other things.

Pals that have higher levels when it comes to their Work Skills will speed up the processes needed to grow potatoes and these include Planting, Watering, and Gathering.

Verdict

Hitting Level 29 can happen early in the game and by the time you can unlock the Potato Plantation, you may already have plantations for other types of ingredients.

Keeping the Potato Plantation with other plantations is a good way to make sure you have all the ingredients you need for later in one place.

Processes such as Planting at a Potato Plantation do not require additional resources, which makes the structure provide you with unlimited Potatoes as long as it is being tended to. (By you or Pals)
