Most of the weapons you get in Palworld allow you to deal damage to your enemies, but with the arrival of the Tides of Terraria update, a support weapon was added.
The Boost Gun, which is both a weapon and a tool, can be used to buff your Pals so they can be more efficient in combat and can also deal damage to your enemies.
Bringing a Boost Gun with you while you adventure or face tough enemies can be useful when your Pals need an advantage over your enemies.
How To Unlock and Craft Boost Gun?
The Boost Gun can be unlocked once your character has reached Level 25, and the same can be done with its Boost Gun Ammo.
You will need 2 Technology Points to unlock the Boost Gun and another 2 for the Boost Gun Ammo, which requires you to have 4 Technology Points in total.
The following materials are required to craft a Boost Gun:
- 45 Ingot
- 10 High Quality Pal Oil
- 30 Fiber
How To Get Boost Gun Ammo?
After unlocking Boost Gun Ammo from your Technology Menu, you may craft it at a Production Assembly Line or Weapon Assembly Line.
- 2 Ingot
- 1 Electric Organ
Crafting Boost Gun Ammo will provide you with 10 rounds each time.
Boost Gun Uses
The Boost Gun is mainly used as a way to “boost” your Pals, by enhancing their combat stats to give them an edge in battle.
When fired at a Pal, an aura can be seen, and this indicates that they are under the effects of the Boost Gun, providing them with increased combat stats.
Firing the Boost Gun at an enemy will not provide the same effects, and instead, this will deal a moderate amount of damage, but it is recommended not to use this weapon this way.
Boost Gun Effects
Firing the Boost Gun at your Pals will provide them with a bonus labeled as Weapon Effect, which provides a 5% bonus to their Attack and Defense.
This effect will last for about 30 seconds, and while the effect is active, an aura can be seen around the affected Pal.
Using the Boost Gun can be done on multiple Pals, which includes those who have been assigned to your base or those you have summoned from your party.
Verdict
Keeping the Boost Gun with you is great for buffing your Pals during fights and you can quickly switch back to your other weapons afterward.
While it can deal damage to enemies, it may be a better idea to conserve your Boost Gun Ammo for buffing your Pals instead and using other weapons when attacking.
Using the boost gun on your Pals during Boss Raids can give your Pals a good advantage, and you can buff several of them as long as you have enough ammo.
