If you remember running into a Dumud in your earlier days in Palworld, you will be surprised to find out that there is a “Golden” variant of this Pal.
Dumud Gild is a much shinier version of its original variant, and while it still possesses the ability to produce High Quality Pal Oil, there is a little extra that it can provide as well.
Retaining most features that its original variant has, Dumud Gild is still considered to be a slightly better variant since it gives you Gold from time to time when assigned to a ranch.

Dumud Gild is not commonly found out in the open, and instead, you will need to resort to fishing to get your hands on one.
You will often find Dumud in the Dessicated Dunes, but it will be underwater, and catching one requires you to look for a Fishing Spot in the following areas:
- 310, 181
- 444, 299
- 906, 192
- 615, 182
- 403, 603
These are rough coordinates, but they point you to the direction of the areas where you can find water in the Dessicated Dunes, and this is where the Fishing Spots can be found.
Other areas that have Dumud Gild are the Oasis Isle and the Eternal Summer Isle. If you fish in the available Fishing Spots, they have.
Dumud Gild can also be obtained from a Large Fishing Pond. (Large Fish Shadow)
Dumud Gild Uses
Dumud have always been sought after due to their ability to provide High Quality Pal Oil, and the same can be said for Dumud Gild.
The only additional thing that Dumud Gild does is provide you with Gold as well as High Quality Pal Oil, which can be a good way to get rich as time goes by.
If you tend to bring Dumud Gild into battle, you could utilize its Ground and Water attacks against certain Pals, or you may keep this shiny mud shark in your base.

While the extra Gold may not seem like much, a lot can be produced over time, and you may be surprised by what you can collect once you get back.
Work Suitability
Dumud Gild will most likely be best assigned to a ranch for what it can produce, but it is also capable of Mining, and this can be good during the earlier parts of the game.
Aside from working at a ranch and mining, it can also provide watering to structures that need it and even transport items that it picks up, even the items it produces.

Verdict
Dumud Gild may not be the most versatile Pal there is, and some may not even bring it into battle since it has multiple weaknesses against other Pals.
Having more than one Dumud Gild working at a ranch may provide you with a lot of items from it, but having just one is more than enough to come back to a good supply of High Quality Pal Oil.
While it is important to have a lot of Gold later, you won’t have to worry much about filling a whole base up with Dumud Gild as there are several ways to earn it.
