With the introduction of the Tides of Terraria update, new variations of Pals appeared, and one of the Water Pals apparently has a variant with a twist of electricity.
This is Celaray Lux, a combination of both the Water and Electric elements, capable of learning Active Skills for an assortment of attacks.
Not only does this Pal prove to have its uses in a fight, but it also improves the capabilities of your Glider and can do more work at a base than most Pals.
Celaray Lux Location Map
Celaray Lux can be found by fishing in different locations around the Palpagos Islands, and some of the most popular places fish are north of the Frostbound Mountains.
Other locations where Celaray Lux can be caught by fishing include the Eternal Summer Isle, where the Sealed Realm of Terraria can be found as well as the Oasis Isle.
Celaray Lux can be caught at a Fishing Pond or Large Fishing Pond as well. (Medium Fish Shadow)
Celaray Lux Uses
Celaray Lux can be a useful Pal to have in your party, especially when you tend to make use of your Glider when exploring or even evading attacks.
Capable of learning Water and Electric Active Skills means that Celaray Lux can be effective against both Fire and Water Pals.
Getting your hands on Celaray Lux early in the game can provide you with a decent Pal who can take on multiple roles at your base, which becomes useful when slots are limited.
Partner Skill
Jolt Glider
While you have Celaray Lux in your team, the performance of the glider that you currently have equipped will be modified.
Jolt Glider increases the speed while gliding for an extended time, allowing you to travel further before you descend.
Using this Partner Skill requires Celaray Lux’s Gloves. (Unlocked at Level 26)
Work Suitability
Celaray Lux can help out when it comes to Watering and Generating Electricity, giving it two different important roles in a base, along with the ability to transport items.

Since Celaray Lux has two elements, this means that it can be effective against more than one type of Pal, but it also means that it has two weaknesses.
If you need this Pal to focus on one task at a base instead of two, such as Generating Electricity or other Watering tasks, you can assign it to a specific structure.
Celaray Lux is considered an upgrade when compared to its original Water Variant, but it retains similar effects when it comes to its Partner Skill.
