Diablo 4’s Season of Witchcraft introduced a new mechanic for players to enjoy, which provides your characters with new ways to add more to their buildings.
Witchcraft is gifted to you by the Coven and becomes available after you progress with the Seasonal Quests and obtain Restless Rot.
With a choice between 5 Witch Powers and 1 Unique Witch Power, there are several ways to make your builds more creative.
How To Unlock Witchcraft?
Witchcraft or Witch Powers will be unlocked as soon as you complete the first Seasonal Quest (Oaths and Debts) and this leads to you accessing the Altars of Witchcraft.
Once you have access to the Altars of Witchcraft, you can start purchasing and upgrading Witch Powers whenever you have enough Restless Rot.
Purchasing and Upgrading Witch Powers
Accessing the Altars of Witchcraft will give you the option to purchase different Witch Powers but not all of them will be available at first.
You may spend Restless Rot to purchase Witch Powers and they will later be available to equip in the slots in the Witchcraft menu. (Next to the equipment tab)
Once a Witch Power has been purchased, you may spend additional Restless Rot to upgrade it, which increases its effectiveness.
Witch Powers can reach a max rank of 20 while Unique Witch Powers can be upgraded to a max rank of 5 for an increasing amount of Restless Rot.
How To Unlock More Witch Powers?
Additional Witch Powers may be unlocked once you reach certain tiers with your Coven’s Favor, which eventually allows you to purchase them at the Altar of Witchcraft.
You will be able to unlock more Witch Powers once you reach Tiers 3, 5 and 7 and claim the rewards from your Coven’s Favor.
Farming Restless Rot
Since Restless Rot is required to purchase Witch Powers and to upgrade them, you will need a lot if you want to get the ones you need and increase their ranks.
This makes it necessary to farm Restless Rot, which can be done by defeating Headrotten enemies and a lot of them can be found in the Headhunt Activity zones.
