How To Get Restless Rot in Diablo 4

Diablo 4’s Season of Witchcraft has introduced a new mechanic to the game, which is known simply as Witchcraft.

This provides you with different additional powers that are applied to your character to give them an advantage against enemies.

However, Witchcraft does not come for free, and you will need Restless Rot to improve your character power and it’s a good thing obtaining this currency is easy.

How To Get Restless Rot?

Season of Witchcraft introduces a new type of enemy that appears to have been inflicted by a strange type of rot that makes them distinguishable from other enemies.

These enemies labeled as “Headrotten” are enemies that have a chance to drop Restless Rot, with stronger enemies providing a larger amount.

You can find Headrotten enemies throughout the season and most of them will be in areas where the Headhunt Activity is present.

Headhunt Activity can be checked on your map as the areas will be a dark shade of green, which is similar in a way to the Helltide.

Defeating Headrotten enemies is your best bet when it comes to farming Restless Rot and the more you grind, the more of this currency you will get.

It is also possible to get Restless Rot as a reward with the Coven’s Favor but this won’t be as much as what you will get when you grind in Headhunt areas.

Restless Rot Uses

Purchasing Witchcraft

Initially, you will want to use Restless Rot to purchase the different types of Witchcraft that you will be empowering your character with.

There are different types of Witchcraft to choose from and as you progress with your Coven’s Favor, more will be unlocked as rewards.

Restless Rot can be used to purchase Witchcraft at an Altar of Witchcraft, which is located at the Tree of Whispers.

Upgrading Witchcraft

Aside from purchasing Witchcraft, you may also use Restless Rot to upgrade the ones that you have already bought and/or equipped.

Upgrading your Witchcraft will increase its effectiveness, making your character even stronger in the process.

As you start to gain a lot of Restless Rot, it is advisable to start upgrading your favorite Witchcraft powers to make your character unstoppable.

Verdict

Restless Rot may not appear to be as easy to farm at the start but later as you easily take out Headrotten enemies, a lot can be accumulated.

You can view all of the Witchcraft from the Altar of Witchcraft, and this can help you plan out what you want to purchase so you can save up on Restless Rot for upgrades.

Enemies will seem to drop a small amount at first but once you start to progress and take on tougher enemies, you can expect to get more of this currency.
