Your previous journey in Chapter 3 of the Vessel of Hatred Expansion led you to rescue Eru who had been captured by the Burned Knights.
While Eru was successfully rescued, you went on ahead to deal with Urivar once and for all but upon returning, Maka had been killed.
Eru has stayed behind after Maka died because of Neyrelle’s loss of control and now it is just the two of you who will be heading to Akarat’s final resting place.
How To Get The Way Out is Through Quest?
The Way Out is Through becomes available after the completion of the Burning Crusade Quest, where you previously killed Urivar.
With Maka dead, Eru was deeply upset and decided to not join you and Neyrelle as the two of you continued your journey to Samuk.

The Way Out is Through Walkthrough
Neyrelle will be waiting for you at Kurast and you can fast travel there and meet up with her at the entrance before heading off.
Follow the marker on your map to reach the Tangles and proceed with making your way to Samuk, which will also be marked on your map.
Upon reaching the destroyed bridge, Neyrelle will feel the corruption taking over again and will tell you to keep your distance before she runs off.
After running off a short distance, Neyrelle loses control and this causes Hollows to appear, which you must now defeat.
Once the Hollows have been defeated, you will need to speak with Neyrelle before the two of you continue and find a way to cross the ravine.
Head to the marked location and you will find a tipping tree that you will need to interact with, which will cause it to fall over.
Before the tree tips over, you will be attacked by Wood Wraiths and must clear them out before continuing to push the tree over.
After the tree has gone down, cross over and head to the marked location where you will find a Thick Not that must be destroyed.
Destroy the Thick Nots to open up the paths and continue making your way toward the marked location while fighting through the enemies that get in your way.
Neyrelle will stop for a bit and begin to taunt Mephisto and once she is done, you will need to speak with her, and this results in another outburst.
More Hallows will appear as Neyrelle runs off again and you will need to fight your way past them before heading to the marked area.
Once you find Neyrelle, she walks away while a boss called the Priestess of Hatred comes to life and attacks you, which requires you to slay it.
Speak with Neyrelle and afterward, the two of you will continue making your way to Samuk, which is right across a nearby bridge.
After you and Neyrelle have crossed the bridge, you will now be in Samuk and the quest will instantly come to an end.
The Way Out is Through Rewards
Reaching Samuk will complete The Way Out is Through, rewarding you with XP and Gold based on your character’s level.
This also starts a quest called Perspective, which will have you and Neyrelle searching for the Tomb of Akarat next.
Verdict
The journey to Samuk was harder than expected and this was not only due to the evil creatures in the forest but also Neyrelle’s condition.
Neyrelle appears to constantly be fighting against hatred and has shown signs of Mephisto’s corruption getting to her.
You are closer than ever to finding Akarat’s Tomb and will need to push further in hopes of getting there before Neyrelle completely loses herself in hatred.
