Burning Crusade Quest Walkthrough

After exiting the Dedicant’s Cache, make your way to where you previously made camp with Maka and Eru. (Marked on your map)

There will be Burned Knights in the area and you will have to help Maka defeat them before you speak with her.

It is revealed that Eru has been taken by the Burned Knights and your next task is to head over to their camp and search for him.

Eventually, you will reach a ladder at the end of the marked area and will need to speak with Neyrelle as she begins to feel pain due to the Soulstone.

The ladder nearby may be used to enter the Burned Knight Encampment, where you will continue your search for Eru.

Continue exploring until you reach an area where guards will order you to surrender but are immediately killed by Neyrelle after she loses control of the corruption.

You will eventually find where Eru is being kept and after defeating the enemies near him, you will be able to talk to him.

Next will be to finish off the knights in the area and to do this, you will head to the next area and defeat enough of them to draw out their champion.

Once enough enemies have been killed, an enemy called Knight Captain Eckhard will appear and you must kill him to obtain a Charred Key.

Once you use the Charred Key to open the nearby gate, head inside and speak with Urivar and this will lead to the two of you having a battle.

You will now need to fight Urivar along with his minions and finally put an end to him to ensure they will no longer be going after Nyrelle.

After a quick cutscene, you will be able to deal the final blow to Urivar, ending his life before returning to your allies.

Upon reaching your allies, Maka will be dying as a result of Nyrelle losing control again but this is of course an accident but Eru remains upset.

Speak with Eru and Nyrelle before proceeding with leaving the camp, where you will speak to Nyrelle again.

Nyrelle speaks of heading to Samuk, which is southwest of where you currently are and she goes ahead to chart the path that you will be taking. (Quest ends here)

Burning Crusade Rewards

Completing the Burning Crusade quest will reward you with XP and Gold along with the following cosmetic items:

  • Urivar’s Shattered Face
  • Urivar’s Charred Sword

Upon completion of this quest, you will have completed Chapter 3 of the Vessel of Hatred and will obtain a mission called The Way Out is Through. (Chapter 4)

Verdict

You succeeded in rescuing Eru and putting an end to Urivar’s life but this came at a great cost as Maka died accidently because of Neyrelle’s loss of control.

Eru is lost in his grief, leaving you and Neyrelle to search for Akarat’s Tomb without him after she heads to Kurast.

With Eru out of your group of allies, you and Neyrelle will need to find your way to reach the tomb and deal with Mephisto’s Soulstone for good.
