Ouna had made an attempt to free the heads from The Tree of Whispers but the bonds that have been created cannot be broken and her punishment was inevitable.
She paid the price and all of the heads that had been stolen were returned along with her head and she will forever gaze in silence for all of eternity from its branches.
It would be best if you would head back to the Coven to see how things are and check on Gelena after the recent events that have transpired.
The Grim Service Quest Walkthrough
The Grim Service serves as an epilogue to the Seasonal Questline of Season of Witchcraft and all you will need to do is head back to The Tree of Whispers.
Once you arrive at The Tree of Whispers, speak with Gelena and after a bit of dialogue with her, you may choose any response.
After you have answered Gelena, the conversation between the two of you will be finished and you will need to go to Ouna’s Grave afterward.
Ouna’s Grave can be found just to the east of Gelena and upon interacting with it, a letter from Caidin will be read.
Caidin’s letter serves as a short apology along with an attempt to convince you that everything going on with The Tree of Whispers isn’t right and he implores you to think about it.
After reading Caidin’s letter, the quest will be complete and you will have finished the Seasonal Questline of Season of Witchcraft.
The Grim Service Quest Rewards
After reading the letter from Caidin, the quest will be complete and you will be rewarded with XP and Gold along with additional items.
These include a Magical Crafting Recipe (Toadling’s Wish Grimoire), which allows you to craft the item through Occult Gem crafting with Gelena.
Additionally, you will receive a Draught of Whispers and a piece of equipment depending on your character and level. (We got Doom Treads of Metamorphosis – Legendary Boots)
The completion of The Grim Service also unlocks new features for the season, such as Forgotten Altars, hunting for Fugitive Heads, and exchanging them for Occult Gems.
Verdict
The missing heads have been returned to The Tree of Whispers and Ouna is part of its latest collection as a consequence of her actions.
Gelena has accepted what has happened and it turns out, she was the one who had to kill Ouna before her head was collected.
However, there are still more heads that need to be found and throughout the rest of the season, you may continue to follow the Whispers, cleanse the rot, and return the other heads.
