Diablo 4’s Season of the Infernal Hordes brings a whole new questline for everyone to enjoy, battling the forces of hell.
Sanctuary has been faced with several problems when it comes to demons but this time, Triune heretics have something up their sleeves.
With the help of two members of the old Triune who follow a different path, your help is needed in putting a stop to the heretics.
How To Start Season of the Infernal Hordes Questline?
The seasonal questline begins once you create a new Seasonal Character, which has you start in Zarbinzet where a commotion can be witnessed.
This has you talking to a captain who will explain that Locran is a Triune and she mentions the heretics that brought hell to Sanctuary.
Throughout the quests, you will be involved with Itsel and Locran, who attempt to obtain power to stop the heretics from pushing through with their plans.
How Many Quests In Diablo 4 Season 5
There are a total of 10 quests in Diablo 4’s Season of the Infernal Hordes, which are split between Islet and Locran’s Quests.
Islet’s questline has 7 quests while Locran ends the questline with 3 more, which cover the whole season’s new features.

The questline for Season of the Infernal Hordes is split between two parts, which is the early quests in Islet’s questline while reaching World Tier 3 (Nightmare) allows you to continue with Locran.

The quests involving Islet begin with you and Locran joining both to obtain the power to face the heretics, but a twist occurs later directed back to Locran.

Locran Quests
Following Locran leads the two of you setting off to stop the heretics after Zarbinzet is sieged by demons, resulting in an ending that leaves the fate of Sanctuary in your hands.
Verdict
With the seasonal questline split into two parts, most of the early activity with Islet involves learning how to collect Mother’s Gifts as well as Burning Aether.
As you progress through each quest in Islet’s Questline, you will need to obtain Mother’s Gifts to unlock each quest to progress.
After the events of Islet’s Questline, you later continue with Locran’s Questline, which introduces the new Infernal Hordes activity that was introduced in Season 5.
