One of the Summoning Items you can obtain in Diablo 4 is the Mucus-Slick Egg, which is required to summon one of the stronger endgame bosses in the game.
This is used to summon Duriel, King of Maggots, who you can defeat to get various rewards but before anything, getting the items needed for the Pestilent Altar must first be done.
Obtaining Mucus-Slick Eggs may be done in more than one way but fighting a boss that first came out in one of the previous seasons proves to be an easier way.
How To Get Mucus Slick Egg?
You can obtain Mucus Slick Egg by defeating the Echo of Varshan, a boss that can be summoned within the Malignant Burrow.
The Malignant Burrow is located near the Tree of Whispers, which you can reach by traveling to it using its waypoint. (Mucus Slick Egg can also drop from World Bosses)
Mucus Slick Egg will only drop from the Echo of Varshan in World Tier 4, which makes it necessary to reach Nightmare before attempting to farm this Summoning Item.
Mucus Slick Egg Uses
The only use for Mucus Slick Egg is to summon Duriel, King of Maggots but this also requires that you have Shards of Agony.
More than one Mucus Slick Egg is required as the regular variant of Duriel requires 2 of them along with 2 Shards of Agony. (Tormented Variant requires more)
Once you have enough of each Summoning Item, you can interact with the Pestilent Altar that is found within the Gaping Crevasse to summon Duriel.
Verdict
Facing an endgame boss like Duriel is a great way to get heaps of loot, which often includes unique items to further improve your builds.
Obtaining a lot of Mucus Slick Eggs requires that you face the Echo of Varshan multiple times, which also requires boss items.
Keep in mind that Mucus Slick Eggs will not drop in World Tier 3, which makes it important that you are strong enough to face tougher enemies.
