Diablo 4: How to Get Betrayer’s Husk

Betrayer’s Husk is one of the rarest Lair Boss Keys in Season 13 and is mainly tied to Belial, Lord of Lies and his unique ambush mechanic.

Unlike older boss materials that were converted into Boss Trophies, Betrayer’s Husk still remains an active key used for opening Belial’s specific hoard.

Because of how rare Belial encounters can be, farming Betrayer’s Husks often takes longer compared to collecting regular Lair Keys or Greater Lair Keys.

How To Get Betrayer’s Husk?

Betrayer’s Husks are obtained from Belial, Lord of Lies when he ambushes players after opening other Lair Boss hoards in Torment difficulty.

Belial can appear after opening both Initiate and Greater Lair Boss hoards, triggering a sudden encounter tied to the hoard you just completed.

He will only drop his treasure for the player who opened the hoard that caused the ambush, making each encounter personal and limited in reward distribution.

 Betrayer’s Husk Uses

Betrayer’s Husks are used to open Belial’s Hoard after defeating him in the Palace of the Deceiver located in Kehjistan during endgame Torment progression.

Opening the hoard requires 2 Betrayer’s Husks, making it one of the more expensive boss reward chests in Season 13 Lair Boss farming.

When opening Belial’s Hoard, you can select a boss loot table, allowing you to target rewards from specific Lair Bosses such as The Butcher depending on your choice.

Verdict

Betrayer’s Husks sit at the top end of the Lair Boss key system, mainly because Belial isn’t something you encounter as frequently as other bosses in normal farming loops.

They build up slowly through gameplay, which makes them feel more valuable since they are usually saved for planned Belial runs rather than casual use.

This key is especially useful when you want to target farm specific items by choosing a particular boss loot table from Belial’s Hoard instead of relying on random drops.
