Artificer’s Stone is an endgame Crafting Material in Diablo 4 that used to be known as Runeshards and is needed for entering The Pit of the Artificer.

How To Use Artificer’s Stone?
Once you have obtained Artificer’s Stones, these will be consumed when you begin The Pit of The Artificer in Cerrigar.
Interacting with the Portal Activator (Artificer’s Obelisk) will allow you to choose the Artificer’s Tier and you can open the portal to The Pit from here.
Each run of The Pit will require 3 Artificer’s Stones, which is an affordable amount later on for when you plan to grind the activity.
The Pit of The Artificer
The Pit of the Artificer is one of Diablo 4’s late-game activities that provides players with a good chance of obtaining Glyphs and being able to upgrade them upon completion.
Glyphs may drop as rewards while completing a run will allow you to interact with the Awakened Glyphstone to upgrade the Glyphs that you have obtained.
Additionally, your better equipment may drop upon completion of The Pit, making this a good way to get drops that have higher Item Power.
Artificer’s Stone Farming Methods
The best way to farm Artificer’s Stone would be to do the activities that you can easily complete as grinding is much better if you can speed run.
Participating in events now and then is a good way to get a lot of materials while Helltide Zones will allow you to farm additional loots on the side.
Those who want to obtain Artificer’s Stone early can resort to doing Nightmare Dungeons as each completion will provide you with this material.
Equipping better gear along the way as you challenge tougher dungeons and activities will eventually make farming Artificer’s Stone more efficient.
