A Radiolaria pool located in The Gorge is giving off Dark Matter signatures, and you and Ghost decide to head over to investigate.
It turns out that the Radiolaria that had Dark Matter have a certain effect on the Vex that makes them go crazy before eventually dying, and for some reason, they have gathered nearby.
Orin explains that to understand what summoned you to Kepler, you must first understand the Dark Matter, which begins with investigating.
How To Get The Paper Crane Quest?
The Paper Crane quest becomes available after you have completed the “Quarantine” mission, which is part of The Gorge Strangelet quest.
The Gorge Strangelet is one of the Strangelet Quests that becomes available during The Edge of Fate campaign and is required to progress with it.
The Paper Crane Quest Steps (Objectives)
Step 1: Investigate the Radiolaria pool
Head over to the marked location, and there will be a signal near a Radiolaria pool that you will need to interact with to continue with the quest.
Step 2: Destroy the attackers and find what secrets they’re guarding
As you went to investigate the Radiolaria pool, the Vex had been waiting nearby, and an ambush was in order, and you will need to defeat them.
The Vex ambush group will appear above you, and you will need to clear them out, which includes a Uplifted Choral Hydra.
Step 3: Search Caldera for the specimen
Ikora suspects that there is a life form, which is most likely a plant, that may be actively feeding off the Dark Matter on Kepler.
You will need to head to Caldera and search for it by following the waypoint, and collect it for further analysis.
Step 4: Search The Stacks for a concentration of Dark Matter
Make your way to The Stacks, and you will be able to find a marked area that you need to interact with, which should be near one of the Matterspark devices.
Step 5: Interact with the nearby Shrine to Failure
The Aionians have a Shrine to Failure nearby, which may hold a clue to their history and connect it to your current investigation.
Head to the Shrine of Failure and interact with it, which will cause the quest to end shortly after.
The Paper Crane Quest Rewards
Once you have made your way to the Shrine to Failure and have interacted with it, the quest will be complete, and you will be rewarded with the following:
- Legendary Gear
- Fated Cipher
