Destiny 2 Quarantine Mission Walkthrough (The Edge of Fate)

The Vex have seized control of the Assimilated Easement, where they are carrying out their plans to utilize The Nine.

It has also been discovered that the Strangelet Capsule is somewhere within the area in the possession of a Vex Mind.

You will need to head deep within the Assimilated Easement and locate the Vex Mind to put a stop to it and retrieve the Strangelet Capsule.

How To Get Quarantine Mission?

Quarantine mission becomes available during Quest Step 3 of “The Gorge Strangelet” quest, which is required to progress with The Edge of Fate quest.

Progressing to Quest Step 3 of The Gorge Strangelet requires that you complete a mission called “Quarantine” in the previous quest step.

Quarantine Mission Walkthrough

Once the mission begins, make your way towards the waypoint and use Matterspark to get through the tight space and proceed with heading to the next area.

Fight your way through the Vex and continue making your way towards the next waypoint, and eventually, this will lead you to an ambush.

You will be trapped in a round room with barriers blocking the way, and to escape, you will need to destroy 2 lenses in the area.

Head to the side, and you will be able to activate the Mattermorph ability, which will allow you to alter the highlighted terrain nearby.

There will be two spheres in the area, and within each sphere will be objects that you need to destroy to take out the barriers.

Once the barrier is down, continue making your way to the waypoint once more, and this will take you to an area where the House of Exile is fighting the Vex.

A Brig called The Interred will be in the area, and you will need to fight it until it retreats to a gate that is blocked with lasers.

Defeating The Interred will cause barriers in the structure to your left to go down, allowing you to access the Relocator Launcher inside.

Above the area near the lasers will be teleporter relays that you need to align to create a path to the teleporter pad that you can activate with the Relocator.

Use the teleporter to reach the other side after it has been activated and make your way to the singularity, where you will find the quarantined area.

Fight your way to the next waypoint, where you will find several disrupters that need to be destroyed, which can be done by defeating the Vex and destroying the Vex Cubes.

Once all of the disruptors have been destroyed, continue making your way towards the waypoint to reach The Stellar Sink, where the Vex Mind (Pagida Divided, The Choral Cage) can be found.

Once the fight with the Pagida Divided begins, you will need to go through a certain number of tasks before it can be damaged.

This involves defeating Vex combatants, destroying Vex Cubes, and using Matterspark to destroy the marked objects, which will make the Vex Mind vulnerable.

Continue disabling/destroying all the marked objects and attacking the Vex Mind when it is vulnerable until it is destroyed.

A chest will appear that contains loot, and nearby will be the Strangelet Capsule, which you will need to interact with.

Interacting with the Strangelet Capsule will result in you taking it, which will cause the mission to end shortly after this happens.

Quarantine Mission Rewards

After defeating the Pagida Divided, a chest will appear near the Strangelet Capsule, which will automatically open and provide various rewards.

This includes Enhancement Cores, Glimmer, Phaseglass Refraction, and random Legendary Gear tied to the season.

Claiming the Strangelet Capsule completes “The Gorge Strangelet” quest, which allows you to progress with The Edge of Fate quest.

Additionally, this will also unlock the Landing Zone in the Assimilated Easement.

Verdict

There is no telling how long the Vex had been plotting on Kepler, but one thing is for sure, you  certainly put a dent in whatever they had planned.

Defeating the Vex Mind was a huge step towards victory and gives the Aionians a fighting chance against their civilization being destroyed.

Now that you have the last Strangelet Capsule, it is time to make your way back to the Altar of Relativity for its integration.
