You and Ghost found a time-field fluctuation, and it looked like the Vex were trying to cover it up for some reason, which is unlikely of them.
After sending data from a scan to Ikora, she informs you that it is incomplete and more information is needed to find out what they were up to.
You and Ikora split up the task of searching for more clues, which now sends you off to search for more of these temporal distortions.
How To Get Forensic Horology Quest?
After you have completed “The Gorge Strangelet” quest, Forensic Horology will be available along with other quests.
This is bound to happen once you have completed the “Quarantine” mission, which is a requirement for one of the quest steps of The Gorge Strangelet quest.
Forensic Horology Quest Steps (Objectives)
Step 1: Locate and investigate Temporal Disturbances across Kepler that are being tampered with by the Conductor’s Vex
There will be another Temporal Disturbance marked on your map, and you can easily track it through the quest by following a marker that leads to it.
Once you reach the Temporal Disturbance, head inside and interact with the area to perform a scan of the anomaly before reporting to Ikora.
Step 2: Meet with Ikora to investigate further
Ikora has found a strange relic and has requested that you meet her right away, and you will need to head to her location to speak with her.
Step 3: Locate and scan the next disturbance site
Another Temporal Disturbance will be revealed nearby, and you will need to make your way to the location to perform another scan of the area.
The scan site will be next to a terminal on top of a platform, which may be a bit tricky to figure out at first since the location is not marked precisely.
Step 4: Establish contact with Ikora Rey and hear what she has to say
After you have scanned the area near the terminal, wait for Ikora to call you and listen to what she has to say until the conversation is over, and the quest will be complete afterward.
Forensic Horology Quest Rewards
After the conversation between you and Ikora, the quest will come to an end, and you will receive the following rewards:

- Fated Cipher
Verdict
It has been determined that particles remain where the temporal disturbances reside, and this type of activity does not seem to be done by the Vex.
Ikora mentions that the Vex are not this sloppy and instead, they seem to either be covering up or trying to hide the disturbances for a certain reason.
Regardless of the discovery, it seems that the activity may have a connection to The Nine, and it would be best to stay sharp and keep an eye out for any other similar activity in the future.
