When Episode: Heresy Act II came into play, Guardians started Act II: Rite of the Deep quest that later had them searching for Rifts in The Nether.
These Rifts need to be interacted with and will allow you to hear messages from Eris Morn that are distorted which becomes clearer with each Rift you find.
During our first run of The Nether after starting the quest, these are the Rifts that we found in both the Hall of Souls and the Trenchway.
All Rift Locations
Rift 1 (Hall of Souls)
Starting in the Hall of Souls, we were able to find our first rift in the area where the Subjugator (Boss) is fought.
This is one of the more familiar locations that you might remember if you have done a few runs of The Nether.
Rift 2 (Hall of Souls)
The second Rift that we found was near one of the bridges near the Subjugator’s area and you will often encounter this as you are completing objectives.
Since you need to complete objectives to destroy 3 Weapon Systems, you will eventually find this around the Hall of Souls.
Rift 3 (Trenchway)
Our third Rift was located in the Trenchway and we found this just as we were about to cross the large gap that leads to the boss area.
This is the area you often arrive at when you travel from the Hall of Souls to the Trenchway where you later encounter the Shieldbearer Sentries.
Rift 4 (Trenchway)
The last Rift that we found was near the area where you fight the Tormentor (Boss) on the right side of the open space.
We found this as we turned left after entering the area and spotted this while completing one of the objectives needed to disrupt the Eversion Ritual.
Rift Message
Upon interacting with the fourth Rift that completes the quest step in Act II: Rite of the Deep, the message is finally clear and mentions the following:
“Guardian! My knife, my acolyte. I may only whisper, but you must listen. I do not possess the strength to return.
You must find and assemble the shards of Oryx’s sword, Willbreaker. It has the power to cut into the Ascendant Plane.
What meager tear I have made now seams together. Go! The word is your path to me. Find it!”
Verdict
Finding the Rifts can be done as you continue to progress through The Nether activity and are hard to miss due to their bright green color.
Make sure to look around in each area so that you can find them, which should be easy since they can be seen from afar.
While many players thought that this would be the end of Eris Morn, it appears that she has somehow found a way to tear through where she is and still contact you.
