You were able to track down what the Vex have been doing thanks to the clues you got from the Shadow Legion’s forces.
It turns out that the Vex are trying to obtain certain bits of data, but their motives are still unknown, which requires you to check it out.
This has brought you to head back to the Veil to see what forces are within the area and to make sure they are not successful with what they are trying to do.

How To Get Parting the Veil Mission?
Parting the Veil (not to be confused with the quest) is part of a quest that is also called Parting the Veil, which is required to be completed for quest step 4.
This mission will later appear once you have been tasked to complete it and it can be found around the Irkalla Complex by following the waypoint.
Parting the Veil Mission Objectives
1) Enter the Irkalla Complex
You will be starting at the top of the inside of the Irkalla Complex and will need to make your way down by either using the platforms or jumping to the bottom.
If you jump to the bottom, make sure to use your jump ability to break your fall to avoid dying from a high drop from the top.
Once you have reached the bottom, continue by making your way to Veil Containment by following the underground tunnel.
2) Decrypt the Research Data
Make your way deeper into the complex, which should be familiar if you have previously gone through with the campaign.
This will take you even lower into the complex and you will find a console that needs to be accessed, which you can do by interacting with it.
3) Reach the Veil
Enemies will appear at your location, and you will need to fight your way through them as you make your way to the Veil.
Follow the waypoint and you will eventually reach the Veil, which is where the final fight of the mission will take place.
4) Defeat the Tormentor
An Imprint of Nezarec will be in the area accompanied by Taken enemies and they will begin to attack you once you arrive in the area.
You will need to fight against the Taken forces while aiming for the Tormentor to defeat it, which makes it important that you watch your back.
The Tormentor is powerful and the Taken enemies will be seemingly limitless, but they take some time to respawn.
Parting the Veil Rewards
Completing, Parting the Veil mission will allow you to progress with the Parting the Veil quest, which later unlocks new Strand Aspects and the Epochal Integration Hand Cannon.

It turns out the Vex had been planning to look deeper into the Veil but things collided as a Tormentor along with Taken enemies assaulted the Veil.
Luckily you were there to put a stop to everything, which has saved a lot of valuable data that belongs to Neomuna.
Perhaps this may just be the start of many attempts but luckily, you and the protectors of Neomuna will be around to stop those who try to attack the Veil once more.
