Mission Dossier: Witch’s Gambit is one of the Vengeance Quests that need to be completed to progress with the Act III: Crossed Blades Quest.
This requires that you walk the Path of Resolve and complete multiple tasks to stir chaos amongst the ranks of Savathun and Xivu Arath.
This will allow you to draw away attention from Eris Morn’s Throneworld and cause the sisters to fight each other instead of focusing on Eris Morn.
How To Get Witch’s Gambit Quest?
The Witch’s Gambit Quest can be obtained from the Shaping Slab once you have reached Quest Step 4 of the Act 3: Crossed Blades Quest.
Witch’s Gambit Quest Steps
Step 1: Complete objectives while walking the Path of Resolve
The first Quest Step of Witch’s Gambit requires that you have the Path of Resolve active, which you can do by interacting with the orb near the Shaping Slab.
The following objectives need to be completed while the Path of Resolve is active:
- Discover 3 Secrets (The Nether)
- Complete Encounters (Reach 100% Progress)
- Defeat 100 Combatants while having a Corrupted Boon
You may discover secrets in the different parts of The Nether and most of these will either be the chests that you reach through portals or the chests that appear after following the orbs.
Several encounters may be completed in a single run of The Nether while obtaining a Corrupted Boon as soon as possible is necessary before you start defeating combatants.
Step 2: Return to the Last City and debrief at the Shaping Slab
With all the objectives in Quest Step 1 completed, make your way back to the Shaping Slab in Eris Morn’s Apartment and claim your rewards to complete the quest.

After completing the objectives required to create chaos between Xivu Arath and Savathun, returning to the Shaping Slab will provide you with the following rewards:
- Seasonal Gear (Common)
- Sigil Shards
- Essence of Desire
Verdict
With Savathun and Xivu Arath making their move on the Dreadnaught, a lot of forces are now in your way and Eris Morn is also in trouble.
Luckily, there is a lot that can be done to distract the sisters as the chaos you have now created has diverted their attention for the time being.
Eris Morn still needs you to continue fighting against the forces on the Dreadnaught to prevent them from attempting her Throneworld while she stirs up a plan.
