With the second week of Act III now live, players are pushed into Part II of the Crossed Blades quest, which can be a bit confusing for some players.
You have recently spoken to the Echo of Navigation and have been asked to put a stop to Savathun’s plans by stopping her ritual.
This of course requires that you make your way to Savathun’s Throne World but figuring out where you need to go can be a little tricky with this part.
Where To Start?
Once you have reached Quest Step 8, the objective simply mentions that you need to infiltrate Savathun’s Throne World and put a stop to her ritual.
Checking the quest info is not that much of a help either as it just tells you to find a way to thwart Savathun’s ritual.
What you will need to do is begin by heading to Savathun’s Throne World, by fast traveling to Quagmire before making your way to the Florescent Canal.
How To Complete Quest Step 8?
Start by making your way to the Florescent Canal and once you arrive, proceed by making your way to Queen’s Bailey.
Queen’s Bailey is just to the north of the Florescent Canal as these are connected and once you arrive, you will need to make your way to the Temple of the Navigator.
The Temple of the Navigator may be found to the north of Queen’s Bailey, and you can easily find the entrance as there are not that many places to go after.
Continue making your way along the path and you will eventually reach the Temple of the Navigator and there will be a few Hive enemies here.
You may either take the artifact that they seem to be worshipping and use it against them (Willbreaker Sword) or attack them from a distance.
After defeating the enemies, you use the Willbreaker’s alternate attack to release a projectile at the marked orb nearby.
This will open up a portal that will take you to the next area, which is where things start to get more interesting.
You will need to traverse from one area to another, where more orbs can be found that will turn into portals once attacked with Willbreaker.
This will need to be repeated multiple times, with you being taken to different areas and this reveals that you are fighting the Disciples of Malok.
The last portal will take you to the room where Malok’s Skull can be found and upon attempting to retrieve it, this will turn out to be a trap.
You will fall into the room below where multiple Hive combatants will begin to attack you and after fighting your way through them, the real skull can be found.
Taking the skull will result in Quest Step 8 being completed, allowing you to continue with the Act III: Crossed Blades quest.
Verdict
While figuring out what needs to be done in Quest Step 8, exploration and previously going to the Temple of Navigation in the past makes it easier for experienced players.
It is a good idea to use your vehicle as much as possible to quickly reach the Temple of Navigation instead of sprinting around the area.
You don’t need to fight all the Hive you encounter along the way as this only needs to be done once you reach the temple and go through the portals.
