How To Get Mote of Primordial Light in Destiny 2

Guardians who are seeking to get one of the new Exotic Weapons called the Khvostov 7G-0X may wonder how to get the Mote of Primordial Light.

The thing about this Exotic item is that it doesn’t come in one single go, you need to grind a bit before you can get your hands on it.

You’re in luck though because the Mote of Primordial Light is not as hard to get as others may think and the sooner you get it, the sooner you get the new Exotic Auto Rifle.

How To Get Mote Of Primordial Light?

The Mote of Primordial Light is obtained once you have collected all 17 Motes of Light, which come from two different sources but are also limited.

Collecting the Visions of the Traveler will allow you to get a total of 8 Motes of Light while the rest are obtained by doing Overthrows.

The other 9  Motes of Light come from the Overthrow bosses that you face and you can only get one Mote of Light per boss.

There are 3 bosses that you can face each time you do an Overthrow in each region, giving you a total of 9 bosses that you need to take down.

Once you have obtained the final Mote of Light to complete 17, the Mote of Primordial Light will be formed and placed in your inventory.

Mote of Primordial Light Use

The Mote of Primordial Light is one of the requirements needed to obtain the Khvostov 7G-0X Exotic Auto Rifle.

This is needed along with the 8 Visions of the Traveler that you obtain in various locations spread out through the Pale Heart.

Once you bring the Visions of the Traveler and Mote of Primordial Light to the Speaker’s Chamber, placing the visions will cause a chest to appear. (Contains Khvostov 7G-0X)

Verdict

Farming Motes of Light to get the Mote of Primordial Light may take some time as this requires you to complete several Overthrows.

Aside from doing Overthrows and having to defeat each boss to get a Mote of Light, you also need to collect the Visions of the Traveler to get all of them.

Overall the Khvostov 7G-0X Exotic Auto Rifle is a decent weapon and the effort to get the weapon for either use as a new favorite or adding it to your collection has been considered worth it.
