A mysterious signal has been detected, and Ikora needs your help with unraveling what could be behind it, which eventually leads you to Kepler.
Kepler is archived in the Vanguard and was known to be unoccupied, but it seems a sort of invitation has been sent, and help may be needed.
You and Ikora make the journey to Kepler, and the two of you are about to make a discovery that sets in motion new events.
How To Get The Edge of Fate Quest?
The Edge of Fate (Introductory Quest) is automatically added to your Quests Menu once you have logged into Destiny 2 after The Edge of Fate (Season: Reclamation) update.
The Edge of Fate Quest Steps (Objectives)
Step 1: Follow the invitation
A mysterious signal has been received, and it originates from Kepler, which now has you and Ikora planning on visiting the drifting rim-world to investigate.
You will need to start a mission called “The Invitation,” which automatically happens after you log in, or you may launch the mission from the quest while viewing Quest Step 1.
Step 2: Integrate the strangelet capsule at the Altar of Relativity
Upon your arrival at Caldera, you notice the Strangelet Capsule humming in your hand and are later drawn towards an ancient altar within the encampment.
Approach the Altar of Relativity and interact with it to accept the next part of the quest, which will have you restoring power to it.
Step 3: Return power to the altar systems
With the Altar of Relativity inactive, there is not much that can be done, and it is up to you to restore power to the altar systems.
Head to each of the devices marked by a waypoint and interact with them, which will have the description of “Perform Rite of Ignition” when you approach them.
Step 4: Restart the Altar of Relativity
With the power now restored, head back to the Altar of Relativity and go to the device nearby that is marked by a waypoint.
Interact with it when the “Perform Rite of Maintenance” action appears, and this will provide the altar with the power it needs to function.
Step 5: Integrate the capsule into the Altar of Relativity
It is time to insert the Strangelet Capsule into the altar, and to do this, you may simply approach the same device that is marked with a waypoint and interact with it.
Step 6: Inspect the Altar of Relativity
After completing all of the required steps, you may interact with the Altar of Relativity to complete The Edge of Fate. (Introductory Quest)
The Edge of Fate Introductory Quest Rewards
Upon completing all of the objectives and once the Altar of Relativity has been restarted, you may interact with it to claim a quest of the same name.
This will also be called The Edge of Fate, but this time, it will be the Seasonal Quest with 31 Quest Steps to complete over a time-gated set of weeks.
Verdict
You were successful in restoring power to the Altar of Relativity, and now further progress can be made at Caldera with the Aionians.
Along with Ikora Rey, you are set out on both saving Kepler and helping out the Aionians to prevent the planetoid’s destruction.
After acquiring The Edge of Fate (Seasonal Quest), it is time to continue by meeting with one of the Aionians’ higher-ranking members, Dean Rebecca.
