When the Tides of Terraria update hit Palworld, several new Pals were added, and one of the strangest ones discovered early was Palumba.
This bird-like Pal that has a resemblance to a tropical tree loves to boogie, and while it is one of the weirder Pals that you may find, it still has its uses.
From being a companion to fight alongside you to a quick mount when traversing grassy land, Palumba may be a good Pal to add to your collection for different reasons.

During the earlier parts of the game, you will often be able to find Palumba at the Isle of Eternal Summer, which is where the Sealed Realm of Terraria can be found.
Palumba may also be found on Oasis Isle, but they will be at a higher level than those that are found at the Isle of Eternal Summer. (Located east of Dessicated Dunes)
This Pal will often be seen wandering around the shore and tends to be aggressive to those who dare to get too close to it.
Palumba Uses
If you need a land mount to travel across grassy areas, having Palumba will give you a fast way to get around, thanks to its Partner Skill.
When it comes to working at a base, it has a decent level with Planting and Gathering, allowing it to work on plantations.
Aside from plantations, Palumba can also mine certain materials, making it a good replacement for Pals with a lower level in Mining.

Samba Step
With Palumba’s Partner Skill called Samba Step, you will be able to ride this Pal and control both its movements and use its Active Skills to attack.
One of the benefits of using Palumba as a mount is that Samba Step also causes this Pal to run faster over grass, making it an easy way to get around grassy areas.
The boost in speed comes with traveling stacks with Passive Skills, which can turn Palumba into quite the speed demon.
