Needoll Noct is the Dark counterpart of Needoll, combining Grass and Dark abilities into a Pal that focuses on supporting the player during combat.
Rather than boosting damage against enemies affected by Ivy-Covered, Needoll Noct changes the way your own attacks behave through its unique Partner Skill.
Needoll Noct can be an excellent choice when it comes to Grass builds, especially when its Partner Skill synergizes with others.
Needoll Noct Location
Needoll Noct appears throughout several areas of the Dessicated Desert, but unlike the original variant, it only emerges after nightfall.
Searching the desert during the day won’t reveal this Pal, so be sure to explore the area once the sun sets for the best chance of finding one.

Partner Skill
Hug You So Much
Needoll Noct’s Partner Skill, Hug You So Much, states that while it is in your party, the player’s attacks inflict Ivy-Covered II.
However, the skill does not currently appear to apply the Ivy-Covered effect correctly, making its exact purpose unclear at the moment.
Instead, players have noticed that it changes the attack type of the player’s attacks, suggesting that the description may contain an error that could be corrected in a future update.
Needoll Noct Uses
Needoll Noct is mainly useful for players who enjoy experimenting with Grass and Dark focused teams, especially when paired with the original Needoll.
Its Partner Skill appears to affect the player’s attacks rather than directly applying Ivy-Covered, although its true purpose has yet to be confirmed.
If Hug You So Much is adjusted in the future, having both Needoll and Needoll Noct together could become a strong combination for status focused builds.
Outside of combat, Needoll Noct can still assist your base with Planting, Gathering, and Transporting, giving it value even when not fighting.

Needoll Noct is an interesting Dark and Grass variant that brings a different approach compared to the original Needoll.

For now, Needoll Noct is still a useful Pal to collect thanks to its base abilities and the possibility of becoming a strong addition to Grass focused teams in the future.
