Kitsun is one of the popular Pals that players have set their eyes on for both its looks and the benefits it can bring you but somewhere in Feybreak, a different variant exists.
A Nocturnal Variant of Kitsun and Field Boss, the Guardian of the Dark Flame dwells at the end of a tunnel and can be challenged for rewards.
Not only does defeating or capturing this Field Boss provide you with materials, but you can also loot the cave that it dwells in and may end up getting good drops.
Kitsun Noct Location Map
Kitsun Noct can be found within a cave that is located around the center of Feybreak Island, which can be reached by entering the Dark Flame Tunnel. (-1036, -1144)
The entrance to the Dark Flame Tunnel is located at around (-1041, -1198) and the closest waypoint to reach it would be the Hidden Passage to the Oculus Gate. (Great Eagle Statue)
Fighting Kitsun Noct, Guardian of the Dark Flame
The Dark Flame Tunnel leads to a large room where Kitsun Noct (Level 57) will be peacefully waiting but once it spots you, the fight will begin.
This Field Boss will come at you with both Dark and Fire attacks but Kitsun Noct is considered to be a Dark Pal, making it weak against only one element.
Most of Kitsun Noct’s attacks can easily be avoided as long as you are running around and with a Pal fighting beside you, things tend to be easier.
Utilizing Dragon Pals will provide you with an advantage against Kitsun Noct and it would be best to avoid using Neutral Pals as they will take more damage.
Grass Pals may end up taking more damage as well since Kitsun has Fire Active Skills, making it best to stick with Dragon Damage and to keep away from its projectiles.

Kitsun Noct (Guardian of the Dark Flame) Bounty Token
Defeating Kitsun Noct (Guardian of the Dark Flame) will reward you with the Kitsun Noct Bounty Token, which provides you with Dark Damage Enhancement. (Small)
Verdict
Kitsun Noct will notice you as soon as you enter the area, which makes it necessary to prepare for the fight and summon a Pal to fight alongside you before this happens.
Utilizing Dragon Pals is a good idea to deal more damage but most Pals should be able to hold their own and you can use ranged weapons to attack from afar.
Kitsun Noct’s cave often has 2 purple chests in it, which makes this a good place to head over to once in a while to get easy loot.
