Icelyn is an Ice Pal that was discovered after the release of the Tides of Terraria update, which can be a useful companion for those who love to utilize Ice Damage.
Found mainly wandering the Frostbitten Isle, this Pal can only be found in one location, which was also added in the update.
With its ability to alter your attack to deal Ice Damage, having Icelyn in your team can be useful when it comes to facing Dragon Pals.

Icelyn is found exclusively at Frostbitten Isle, and once you arrive at this location, you should easily be able to find them roaming around.
Frostbitten Isle is located to the southeast of Mount Obsidian or southwest of the Plateau of Beginnings. (Around -80, -945)
Icelyn Uses
Icelyn can be considered a more offensive Pal, and its usefulness is mainly due to its ability to alter the type of damage you deal.
This mainly includes your melee and ranged weapons, giving you the ability to deal Ice Damage instead of the regular damage your character would deal.
When it comes to working at a base, Icelyn has a decent level in Cooling but can also help with crafting, producing medicine, and moving items.

Witch’s Icy Veil
Icelyn’s Partner Skill is called Witch’s Icy Veil, and it takes effect whenever you have this Pal summoned to explore or fight alongside you.
This causes the player’s attacks to change to Ice, allowing you to deal additional damage to Dragon Pals while dealing less damage to Fire Pals.
This can be useful when you are facing Dragon Pals and wish to deal more damage to them, especially if you are fighting bosses.
