Palworld: Thermal Cores (How To Get & Uses)

Many of Palworld’s strongest weapons and late game technology rely on specialized components that can’t simply be gathered from the world.

Thermal Core is one of the most important of these materials, serving as a high-powered crafting component for advanced equipment, structures, and other end game recipes.

Since several high tier blueprints require it, having a steady supply of Thermal Cores can save you a lot of time once you begin unlocking Palworld’s most powerful technology.

How To Unlock & Craft Thermal Cores?

The Thermal Core recipe becomes available at Level 59, requiring 3 Technology Points to unlock from the Technology Menu.

Once researched, it can be crafted at a Production Assembly Line II or any higher tier crafting station capable of producing advanced materials.

Thermal Core requires the following materials:

  • 4 Flame Organ
  • 8 Coal
  • 2 Corrosive Solvent
  • 2 Hexolite

 Uses

Thermal Core is mainly used for some of Palworld’s most advanced late game technology, especially equipment that relies on high-powered energy systems.

Weapons such as the Plasma Cannon, Laser Gatling Gun, and Energy Shotgun require Thermal Core, making it an important material for crafting powerful advanced firearms.

Beyond weapons, Thermal Core is also needed for important technology such as the Advanced Shield and Ancient Furnace, giving it value for both combat-focused players and those expanding their base.

It is also required for crafting the AI Core, making Thermal Core a material that remains relevant even after you have already unlocked some of the strongest equipment in the game.

Best Way To Produce Thermal Cores

Having a steady supply of the required materials will make producing Thermal Cores much easier, especially since several of its ingredients already require their own production setups.

For Flame Organs, assigning Pals such as Flambelle, Rooby, or Kelpsea Ignis to a Ranch is a great way to create a consistent supply without constantly hunting Fire Pals.

A Coal Quarry is also useful for maintaining a reliable amount of Coal, especially if you assign Pals with high Mining levels to improve resource gathering.

Corrosive Solvent needs Venom Glands and Sulfur, so keeping these materials stocked will help avoid slowing down production. (Check out our guide HERE to learn more)

For Hexolite, make sure you have both a Pure Quartz Quarry and a Hexolite Quartz Mine running, as these will provide the resources needed to keep Thermal Core production going.

Once these resource chains are established, creating Thermal Cores becomes much easier and prevents advanced crafting projects from being slowed down by missing materials.

Verdict

Thermal Core is one of those materials that is worth preparing for early, especially once you have access to reliable sources for all of its required ingredients.

Building up a stockpile ahead of time allows you to craft multiple Thermal Cores later without having to stop and gather materials whenever you unlock advanced weapons or structures.

Since Thermal Core is also needed for important late game technology like the AI Core, keeping a good supply ready will make future crafting much smoother as you continue progressing.
