Nightstar Sand is best farmed while riding a mount since this makes it easier for you to move from one place to another, especially on a fast flyer.
As soon as it is nighttime, head to Feybreak Island and start flying around the desert or shores and fly as low as possible to get a better vision of the Nightstar Sand in the area.
Once you see the Nightstar Sand glowing, fly over them and collect them as you move from one to the other to quickly get a lot of this material. (You can pick up objects even while mounted)
Nightstar Sand may also be found when roaming the Dessicated Dessert, making this an alternative to Feybreak Island as it also has sand.
