Palworld: Grappling Gun (How To Get, Uses & Types)

There are tons of ways to get around in Palworld, as you can run, climb, glide, and you might find it handy to get a Grappling Gun to grapple your way to surfaces.

Grappling Guns can be useful in different situations, such as getting to areas that are hard to reach or relocating when things get tough.

At first, it might seem that the distance is a bit short, but as you get better Grappling Guns, they can take you across greater distances.

How To Unlock and Craft Grappling Gun?

The standard version of the Grappling Gun is the first to be unlocked, and this can be unlocked at Level 12 from the Technology Menu under the Ancient Technology section.

After spending 1 Ancient Technology Point to unlock the Grappling Gun, you may craft it at a High Quality Workbench or better crafting station.

You will need the following materials to craft the Grappling Gun:

  • 10 Paldium Fragment
  • 10 Ingot
  • 30 Fiber
  • 1 Ancient Civilization Parts

Grappling Gun Uses

Once you have a Grappling Gun, you may equip it in one of your Weapon/Tool Slots and may use it as you would any other item.

This allows you to fire a hook towards a surface (a marker will show if it hits), and this will cause you to be pulled to it.

After using a Grappling Gun and successfully pulling yourself across a distance, there will be a cooldown. (This gets shorter as you get better Grappling Guns)

Grappling Guns are great for reaching higher areas, quickly moving around, or even dodging enemy attacks when you are in a fight.

Types of Grappling Gun

Aside from the standard Grappling Gun, you will be able to unlock better versions as your level increases, and these provide you with better range and mobility.

Verdict

Grappling Guns need to be equipped in a weapon slot, which makes it important to make sure you think about which one you will set aside.

You can always quickly equip the Grappling Gun or switch it with another weapon from your inventory if you happen to get into a fight.

The better the Grappling Hook, the longer the distance it will take you, and once you get a Hyper Grappling Gun, you will start to notice the difference.
